An assembly for collecting and removing leaked refrigerant, in particular from an evaporator of an air conditioning system of a motor vehicle and/or from a periphery, provided for the refrigerant, of the evaporator with a housing part for the air-tight surrounding of at least one refrigerant connection and/or at least one section of a refrigerant line, and with a connection element, whereby the attachment element has at least one first attachment opening and a second attachment opening, whereby the first connection opening is fluidically connected to the housing part by a channel element and the second connection opening can be fluidically connected to an outlet channel opening into the surroundings such that the refrigerant leaked within the housing part can be fed into the first channel element and can be discharged into the surroundings via the connection element and the outlet channel.
Device for protecting an air conditioning system of a vehicle
A device for protecting an air conditioning system of a vehicle is configured to prevent damage to an air conditioning system due to excessive operation of a compressor or a deficit of a refrigerant by accurately determining whether to operate the compressor even without using a specific sensor that causes an increase in the manufacturing cost of a vehicle.
Air Conditioner For Vehicle
Air conditioner for a vehicle in which low pressure protection is accurately performed to improve reliability. A controller adjusts a number of revolution Nc of a compressor 2 so that a detected value does not decrease below a limiting target value TGTs, on the basis of the detected value of a suction temperature sensor and a limiting target value TGTs set to a suction refrigerant temperature of the compressor 2. The controller has a predetermined limiting lower limit TGTsL and a predetermined limiting upper limit TGTsH which is higher than the predetermined limiting lower limit, and adjusts the number of revolution Nc of compressor 2 so that the limiting target value TGTs is the limiting upper limit TGTsH on startup of compressor 2, and the controller gradually decreases the limiting target value TGTs toward the limiting lower limit TGTsL, when the detected value decreases to the limiting upper limit TGTsH.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR NOTIFYING AND MITIGATING A SUBOPTIMAL EVENT OCCURRING IN A TRANSPORT CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM
A method for notifying and mitigating a suboptimal event occurring in a transport climate control system that provides climate control to a climate controlled space of a transport unit is provided. The method includes monitoring an amount of power available for powering the transport climate control system, monitoring a power demand from the transport climate control system, and accessing operational data of the transport climate control system and the transport unit. The method also includes a controller determining whether a suboptimal event is detected based on one or more of the monitored amount of power available, the monitored power demand and the accessed operational data. Also, the method includes the controller generating a notification when a suboptimal event is detected, and the controller instructing the generated notification to be displayed on a display.
ELECTROMOTIVE REFRIGERANT COMPRESSOR, METHOD FOR OPERATION THEREOF, AIR-CONDITIONING INSTALLATION, COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
A method for operating an electromotive refrigerant compressor having an electric motor, includes operating the electric motor using a supply voltage from a second on-board electrical system. The electric motor is operated in an emergency mode if a fault in a low-voltage supply from a first on-board electrical system and/or a fault in a bus for transmitting a control signal, in particular for a desired rotation speed of the electric motor, to the electromotive refrigerant compressor, are/is detected. An electromotive refrigerant compressor, an air-conditioning installation including such an electromotive refrigerant compressor, a computer program product and a computer-readable medium, are also provided.
VEHICLE AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS
A vehicle air-conditioning apparatus includes emergency dampers switchable between opening states for opening emergency vents and closing states for closing emergency vents. A control device switches the emergency dampers from the closing states to the opening states while keeping an indoor fan operating, when determining that refrigerant is leaked from a refrigerant circuit on the basis of results of detection by refrigerant leakage detectors. An indoor unit chamber includes supply air guiding sub-chambers for guiding the internal air delivered by the indoor fan to supply openings. The emergency vents are included in the supply air guiding sub-chambers. The indoor fan forms flows of the internal air with the air pressures in the supply air guiding sub-chambers being higher than the atmospheric pressure.
System and method for refrigerant pressure and relief
In at least one embodiment, a vehicle climate control system including a compressor, at least one sensor, and at least one controller is provided. The compressor is configured to circulate fluid about a refrigerant loop. The at least one sensor is configured to provide a signal indicative of a pressure of the fluid in the refrigerant loop. The at least one controller is programmed to control a first valve to open to enable the fluid to flow to an evaporator for a battery responsive to the pressure of the fluid being greater than a predetermined pressure level to reduce the pressure of the fluid.
