COMPACT AIR CONDITIONER

A compact air conditioner includes a compressor, a condenser, a decompressor, an evaporator, a blower, an air conditioner case, and a controller. The air conditioner case defines a cool air chamber and a warm air chamber and is configured to direct a condensed water generated in the evaporator toward the warm air chamber. When an amount of the condensed water in the air conditioner case is greater than a predetermined amount, the controller is configured to execute at least one of a first control to decrease a flow rate of an air sent to the condenser by the blower or a second control to narrow an area of a front surface of the condenser, and at least one of a third control to increase a rotational speed of the compressor or a fourth control to reduce an opening degree of a valve of the decompressor.

SUSTAINABLE WASHER FLUID SUPPLY FOR A VEHICLE
20210188217 · 2021-06-24 ·

The present disclosure redirects unused condensed liquid water from the HVAC system to the washer fluid system such that the washer fluid tank, which may be relatively small and light, does not have to be topped-off frequently. The washer fluid tank is constantly refilled, and the washer fluid supply does not have to be replenished with clean drinking water as often, preserving this important environmental resource. Vehicle sensor data and/or a mobile application usage algorithm control filling of the washer fluid tank, and optionally periodically add anti-freeze from an adjacent reservoir when necessary to maintain an operable washer fluid system even below 0 degrees C.

Vehicle power unit temperature regulation system

A vehicle temperature regulation system includes: a power unit including a motor driven by a supply of electrical power from a battery to cause wheels to rotate; a first cooling unit including a first heat exchanger disposed at a vehicle front side of the power unit, and a first circulation path that allows refrigerant to circulate between the power unit and the first heat exchanger to perform heat exchange; a second cooling unit including a second heat exchanger disposed at a vehicle rear side of the power unit, an air conditioning unit, a compressor, and a second circulation path that allows refrigerant to circulate between the second heat exchanger, the air conditioning unit, and the compressor to perform heat exchange; and a duct that interconnects the air conditioning unit and the battery and through which cool air or warm air is supplied from the air conditioning unit to the battery.

System for water collection and redistribution in vehicle

A system for water collection and redistribution in a vehicle is provided. The system includes a storage tank for receiving water condensate from an air conditioner (AC) of the vehicle and store the water condensate. A wiper tank is positioned above the storage tank for receiving the water condensate from the storage tank. Further, a cooling coil is positioned adjacent to a radiator of the vehicle. A slanted pipe having an upper end in fluid communication with the wiper tank and a lower end in fluid communication with the cooling coil. The wiper tank discharges excess water condensate by gravity to the cooling coil via the slanted pipe to cool the radiator, when the water condensate reaches a certain level in the wiper tank.

Air conditioner apparatus for electric vehicles and air conditioning system for electric vehicles using the same

An air conditioner apparatus for electric vehicles includes: an air conditioning case installed under an under body of a vehicle, and configured to communicate with an interior of the vehicle through an outlet formed through an upper portion of the air conditioning case and circulate conditioned air therein; an HVAC module provided inside the air conditioning case, and configured to adjust temperatures of indoor air and outdoor air and to provide the conditioned air to the interior of the vehicle; and a heat exchange module provided below the HVAC module inside the air conditioning case and configured to exchange heat with the HVAC module depending on whether or not the HVAC module performs a heating or cooling operation.

Mounting structure of thermal management module for vehicle

A mounting structure of a thermal management module for a vehicle, includes: a mounting carrier mounted at a front of a vehicle body and having a receiving space; and a thermal management module mounted in the receiving space; wherein the thermal management module includes: an air conditioner mounted in the receiving space and configured to adjust a temperature of a vehicle interior according to a cooling mode or a heating mode; and a cooling device mounted in the receiving space and configured to heat-exchange with a working fluid using an external air introduced from outside of the cooling device.

VEHICLE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM WITH FILTERED CONDENSATE MISTING

A vehicle climate control system includes a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system where condensate from the system is conveyed to a misting device disposed at an air-conditioned outlet in the cabin of the vehicle. The misting device can be arranged at the exit of the air-conditioned outlet such that conditioned air is conveyed by the HVAC ducting and mixes with the mist generated by the misting device at the air-conditioned outlet. The mist may be scented using an injection device that pumps a fragrant fluid into the misting device along with the condensate. Prior to conveying the condensate to the misting device, the condensate may be pumped through bacteria and sediment filter media providing a clean supply of condensate to the misting device. Positioning the misting device at the air-conditioned outlet helps prevent mold or debris from being trapped in the HVAC system or ducting.
