Air conditioning device for vehicle
10538138 · 2020-01-21 · ·

An air conditioning device has a blower, a compressor, a radiator, a decompressor, a heat absorber, and a controller. The compressor compresses and discharges a refrigerant. The radiator dissipates a heat of the refrigerant to the air thereby heating the air. The decompressor decompresses the refrigerant after the heat of the refrigerant is dissipated in the radiator. The refrigerant decompressed in the decompressor absorbs heat from outside air in the heat absorber. The controller determines whether the heat absorber is in a frosted state in which a frost is formed on the heat absorber or whether the heat absorber is in an estimated frosted state in which a frost is possibly formed on the heat absorber. The controller performs a frost delay control to delay a formation of the frost when the controller determines that the heat absorber is in the frosted state or the estimated frosted state.

HEATING APPARATUS OF VEHICLE

A heating apparatus of the invention executes a first heating control for heating a heater core by a heat generation device when a process of heating the heater core is requested while an engine operation is stopped. The heating apparatus executes a second heating control for heating the cooling water which cooled an internal combustion engine, by the heat generation device and supplying the heated cooling water to the heater core when a heater core temperature is not increased to a requested temperature only by the heat generation device. The heating apparatus executes a third heating control for stopping the engine operation, heating the cooling water which cooled the internal combustion engine, by the heat generation device, and supplying the heated cooling water to the heater core when an engine temperature becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature while the second heating control is executed.

Method for controlling coolant flow and cooling of a heater core of a vehicle to extend an engine auto-stop period

A method for controlling coolant flow and cooling of a heater core to be used as a cold storage device or heater core cold storage (HCCS) cooling of a vehicle to extend an engine auto-stop period includes determining if at least one predetermined condition is met for HCCS cooling, and charging a heater core for a predetermined charge period in preparation for HCCS cooling when the at least one predetermined condition is met. The charge is held in the heater core until a trigger event occurs and HCCS cooling is initiated. HCCS cooling is then performed until a predetermined use period expires.
