Air vent for a vehicle

A vehicle air vent includes a primary vane system pivotal about a horizontal axis to direct an air flow from an outlet of the vehicle air vent in an up/down direction and including a primary vane, a secondary vane system pivotal about a vertical axis to direct an air flow from an outlet of the vehicle air vent in a side-to-side direction and including a secondary vane, and an air flow volume control system including a control knob movable in a fore/aft direction for adjusting the volume of air flow through the air vent.

Air register having a vane linking member coupled to a grommet for use in effort generation

An air register having a plurality of pivotable vanes, including at least two horizontal vanes, each horizontal vane having an outer section and an inner section, and a linking member connecting the inner sections together. The outer sections of the horizontal vanes are each pivotably connected to a housing of the air register, and at least one of the inner sections includes an inner pivot pin connected to a annular grommet, which is in turn, connected to the linking member. The annular grommet is disposed within a cavity of the linking member and contributes to generating effort felt by a user when adjusting a pivot position of the horizontal vanes.

Air vent

An air vent includes a housing, an air guide surface, an air flow adjusting element, and a vane. The air guide surface at least partially defines an air duct configured to convey a volumetric flow of air through the housing so that the volumetric flow of air exits the air duct in a direction that at least partially defines an air discharge direction perceived outside of the air vent. The air flow adjusting element is moveable to vertically change the perceived air discharge direction, and the vane is movable to horizontally change the perceived air discharge direction. The vane is not visible to a user of the air vent when the air vent is viewed from an air outlet end of the housing.

A ventilation module for a vehicle having a housing including a flap hingedly secured along an inner edge to the housing to extend across its open interior. The flap includes side edges and an interconnecting outer edge which contact, in a closed flap condition, support locations configured along the housing to define its open interior. One or more fingers extend from at least one of the side and outer edges of the flap so that the fingers abut standoff locations of the housing located in proximity to the support locations. Upon a sufficient positive air pressure condition created within the passenger compartment which overcomes a holding force exerted by the fingers against said stand-offs, the flap is allowed to open in a controlled fashion to vent to the exterior the excess air pressure, until reclosing upon achieving an air equilibrium condition.

Provided is an air vent for an automobile having a duct having a passage, a knob mount coupled to the duct, a knob installed to the knob mount, first and second vane members installed to the knob mount, a vane driving device installed to the knob mount, and a damper installed in the duct. The knob is movable leftwards and rightwards and is rotatable upwards and downwards. The first vane member is rotated upwards and downwards by the vane driving device when the knob is rotated upwards and downwards. The second vane member is rotated leftwards and rightwards by the vane driving device when the knob is moved leftwards and rightwards. The vane driving device transmits the rotation of the knob to the first vane member, and transmits the movement of the knob to the second vane member. The damper opens or closes the passage by rotation.

The invention relates to the technical field of air outflow, and aims to solve the problem whereby louvers in an air outflow device in a current vehicle needs to be manually turned to adjust an air outflow direction. The invention provides an air outflow device. An opening/closing member and an air distribution member are rotatably disposed in an air inflow section, an outlet of a first air outflow section and an outlet of a second air outflow section are respectively provided with a first louver structure and a second louver structure, and a first driving member and a second driving member are disposed outside an air channel. The first driving member is capable of driving the opening/closing member to open/close the air inflow section so as to connect/disconnect the air inflow section, and is capable of driving the air distribution member to rotate so as to adjust an air outflow amount and a longitudinal air outflow direction. The second driving member is capable of driving the first louver structure and the second louver structure to swing together so as to adjust a transverse air outflow direction. According to the invention, the air outflow direction is adjusted without the need for manually turning the louvers, so that the air outflow device is convenient to use.
