The damper plate rotates from an open position to an closed position in a direction where the upstream piece rotates to the downstream side and the downstream piece rotates to the upstream side by an operation of the operation part, and a rotation torque generated when a wind of the air acts on the upstream piece is greater than a torque generated in the downstream piece at least in the vicinity of the closed position.

A front stopper is formed on the front surface and a knob fitting groove is formed on the rear surface of the air vent wing. An assembly groove is formed inside the assembly hole of the knob and a piece of rubber is assembled into the assembly groove. A front slide groove is formed on the piece of rubber wherein the front stopper of the air vent wing is fitted and moved in the front slide groove. A rear stopper is formed on both ends of the rear portion of the knob. Wherein the front stopper contacts ends of the front slide groove and the rear stopper contacts sides of the knob fitting groove upon full movement of the knob relative to the air vent wing in both directions.

Accordingly, the vertical angular rotation operation for the horizontal wing is automatically performed by the operation of the link structure delivering the torque of the driving motor.

A first set of fixed vanes is positioned in a first one of the channels. The fixed vanes of the first set are angled or curved in a first direction with respect to a flow vector of the air inlet. A second set of fixed vanes is positioned in a second one of the channels. The fixed vanes of the second set are angled or curved in a second direction with respect to a flow vector of the air inlet. A gate is positioned within grooves of each of the first and second sets of fixed vanes. The gate is configured to regulate a position at which air may enter the first and second channels from the air inlet.

A duct system, and more particularly, a rigid endcap of the duct system can be configured to prevent a register from being damaged and from being displaced upon a curtain side airbag deployment. The duct system can include a headliner defining an opening, and a soft duct operatively connected to the headliner. The duct system can include a rigid endcap operatively connected to the headliner and to the soft duct. An airflow channel can be defined by the headliner, the soft duct, and the rigid endcap. Additionally, the rigid endcap can define a terminal end of the airflow channel, and the opening can be located along the airflow channel directly below the rigid endcap.
