An air outlet of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (“HVAC”) system of a vehicle includes a duct and a plurality of primary vanes. The duct has an inlet aperture for receiving an airflow from the HVAC system, and an outlet aperture that is open to a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The plurality of primary vanes are coupled to the duct at the outlet aperture. Each primary vane has an asymmetrical airfoil shape including a leading edge and a trailing edge. The leading edge is disposed within the duct and upstream of the trailing edge.

HEAT CONTROL METHOD FOR A HEAT CONTROL DEVICE, PARTICULARLY FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR

A heat control method for a heat control device, particularly for a vehicle interior, is disclosed. The method involves detecting, delimiting and positioning various parts of the body of an occupant (U), measuring thermal or physiological parameters regarding various parts of the body of the occupant (U) and/or the vehicle interior around the occupant (U), establishing a plurality of thermal comfort indices (I.sub.n), each thermal comfort index (I.sub.n) corresponding to one of the parts of the body of the occupant (U) taking into account a feeling of warmth or of cold in the associated body part, and of which the absolute value is at a minimum in a comfortable situation, and regulating the operation of a heat control device (3) to minimize a sum of the absolute values of the comfort indices (Σ|I.sub.n|) in order to create a regulated thermal environment around the occupant (U).

A blow-off device (10) is equipped with a wind direction variable means (40) and a pressure adjustment unit (60) in a ventilation passage (50). The wind direction variable means is rotatably provided in the ventilation passage and can change a conditioned air from the inflow port (50c) toward a blow-off port (50d) and a second inclined part (52r) along an intermediate part (53r). The pressure adjustment unit prevents the pressure of the ventilation passage from exceeding a predetermined value by releasing the conditioned air to the outside of the ventilation passage. A bypass inlet (66) of the pressure adjustment unit is provided on an upstream side of an end portion (42d) in a +X direction at the time of maximum rotation of the wind direction variable means.

VEHICLE AIR VENT SYSTEM

A vehicle air vent system includes a duct defining an outlet that directs air into an interior compartment. An air register assembly is operably coupled to the duct proximate to the outlet. The air register assembly includes a frame. A vane is rotatably coupled to the frame. A variable resistor is operably coupled to the frame. A user interface has a display. A controller is communicatively coupled to the user interface and the variable resistor. The controller receives a signal from the variable resistor and determines a position of the air register assembly in response to the signal.

VEHICLE AIR VENT SYSTEM

A vehicle air vent system includes a dashboard defining an air vent opening. An air register assembly is disposed within the air vent opening of the dashboard. The air register assembly includes a frame and a vane rotatably coupled to the frame. An imager is coupled to the dashboard. The imager captures data within a field of view. A controller is communicatively coupled to the imager and the air register assembly. The controller receives the data from the imager. The controller determines a position of an object within the field of view in response to the data.

Register

A register includes an annular fin that can improve the directivity of air conditioning air while suppressing increase in the number of parts. A front fin includes an annular-shaped annular fin portion. A bezel has upstream side inclined surfaces formed on inner peripheral surfaces facing with each other in the shorter side direction (vertical direction) of an air blow outlet. The upstream side inclined surfaces incline toward a direction of approaching the annular fin portion from an upstream side toward a downstream side of an air blowing direction. An air conditioning air flowing in the air blowing direction is guided to the annular fin portion side by the upstream side inclined surfaces.
