METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONSUMER-READY VEGETABLES, MUSHROOMS OR HERBS IN A BOX
The present invention relates to a method for producing consumer-ready vegetables, mushrooms or herbs, involving a) culturing vegetables, mushrooms or herbs in a closed container under suitable growing conditions until maturity; and b) transferring the container with the mature ve-getable, mushrooms or herb to a retail outlet, wherein the vegetables, mushrooms or herbs are cultured in a container with a plant compartment for containing the vegetables, mushrooms or herbs and a separate water compartment for containing water and nutrients, wherein one of the two compartments is provided with means for allowing water and nutrients to enter the plant compartment while preventing contaminations and pathogens from entering the said plant compartment. Preventing contaminations is achieved a filter that is permeable to water and nutrients but impermeable to contaminations and pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, protists or insects, preferably in the bottom of the plant compartment.

METHODS OF CULTIVATING ECTOMYCORRHIZAL FUNGI
A method of inoculating a tree with an ectomycorrhizal fungus is disclosed. The method comprises contacting at least one non-terrestrial adventitious root of the tree with the ectomycorrhizal fungus under conditions suitable for inoculation of the at least one non-terrestrial adventitious root by the ectomycorrhizal fungus. Methods of cultivating the ectomycorrhizal fungus are also disclosed as well as systems and devices for same.

MYCELIUM GROWTH BED WITH PERFORATION LAYER AND RELATED METHOD FOR CREATING A UNIFORM SHEET OF MYCELIUM FROM A SOLID-STATE MEDIUM
A mycelium growth bed for growing a solid substrate-bound mycelium through which the mycelium composite is easily and readily removed. This is achieved through the use of a perforation layer embedded between the mycelium substrate and the mycelium composite so as to create a uniform structural weakness and thereby enhancing harvesting abilities of the ex-substrate mycelium via a greatly reduced and uniform tear strength. The perforation layer, through which the mycelium grows, allows for the gated and controlled extrusion of a matrix of colonial cells that may be easily and uniformly delaminated from the underlying mycelium substrate.

Method of growing mycological biomaterials
A growth medium formed as an inoculum including a preselected fungus and a nutrient material capable of being digested by the fungus is placed in or on a tool formed of a material capable of being at least partially consumed by the fungus. The tool may define a cavity of predetermined shape for the growth medium or the tool may form a scaffolding on which the growth medium grows into the final product taking on the shape of the tool.

METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS GROWTH OF FUNGAL MATERIAL
A method using a system adapted for continuous growth and harvesting of fungal fruiting bodies. The system includes a growth chamber, one or more mycelium feed assemblies, a nutrient reservoir with liquid media, one or more environmental controls to control an environment within the growth chamber and of the liquid media within the nutrient reservoir. One or more mycelium feed assemblies are arranged within the growth chamber. Each of the one or more mycelium feed assemblies includes a nutrient supply member and a mycelium colony which grows around the nutrient supply member, that continuously supplies liquid media to the mycelium colony. The method includes starting one or more mycelium colonies on the nutrient supply member, establishing that a mature colony has formed, and then maintaining the mature mycelium colony by continuous delivery of liquid medium to the mycelium colony, thus allowing for contiguous generation and harvesting of fungal fruiting bodies.
