Thermal Shield System
20200016961 · 2020-01-16 ·

A thermal shield system with wireless control capabilities including a multi-layer shield, a housing containing a power source and processor, and a programmable control mechanism, wherein the control mechanism is in communication with the processor to facilitate direct or remote manual programming of time and temperature of the shield system. The multi-layer shield includes a perimeter having a first layer comprised of reflective material, a second layer comprised of a plurality of conductive pads arranged in a plurality of rows within a structural support sheet, a third layer comprised of thermal material, an electrical wire running through and connecting said conductive pads of the second layer, and a surround spanning the perimeter of the shield. The surround of the shield has flexibility to allow folding or rolling for compact storage of said shield and having rigidity to provide structural integrity of said shield. The electrical wire connects each of the plurality of conductive pads in a series to generate consistent and uniform heat while minimizing depletion of the power source.

Vehicle Sun Shade

Generally sun shades shield the front, side or rear windows of a vehicle separately. A typical sedan would need 6 shades. A typical pick up would need 4 shades. To shield a single seat from the sun using the current invention would take 2 shades. Most sun shades designed for the side window of a vehicle leave spaces on the window unprotected allowing sunlight through into the inside of the vehicle.

This invention cuts the number of shades required In half and protects more of the vehicle. Protecting the driver's side of the vehicle would require one shade opposed to two. Protecting the passenger's side of the vehicle would require one shade opposed to two. Protecting the entire front of the vehicle would require two shades opposed to three. This invention also provides greater coverage than the traditional sun shades. Traditional sun shades typically leave the edges of the side windows unprotected.

A shading device including a shading structure displaceable in vehicle-fixed lateral guiding rails between a lowered rest position and a deployed shading position using a drive arrangement. The shading structure in the rest position is lowered down in a vehicle-fixed chamber through a passage, wherein the passage is closable by a cover movable between an open position and a closed position, and a control arrangement for opening and closing the cover is provided and coupled to a displacement movement of the shading structure. The control arrangement includes a control plunger engaging on the cover, which plunger is articulated to the cover in opposed pull and push directions. The control plunger is in operative connection with the cover via a tensioning arrangement which is spring-elastically tensioned in one movement direction and inactively relaxed in an opposite movement direction.

VEHICLE WINDSHIELD AND SIDE WINDOW SUNSHADE

The present invention is a sunshade for a vehicle having the ability to cover the entire windshield and side passenger windows with one piece of material. The sunshade is made from a thin material and is structured with two metal hoops to allow for easy collapsibility of the invention. When fully opened and in place, the sunshade extends beyond the dimensions of the vehicle's windshield and side windows in order to completely block out any space for the sun to pass through. In this opened position, the sunshade attaches to the area above the vehicle's windshield and side windows with Velcro adhesive.

A vehicular sunshade has a shade panel and an articulating support frame. The panel is made of a flexible opaque material. The frame has extendible arms, a central support, and a yoke. The yoke surrounds the central support and slides relative thereto between distal and proximal ends thereof. The flexible arms are hingedly affixed to the central support and extend outwardly therefrom. The panel is affixed to the frame. A latch near to the central support's distal end engages the yoke to retain the yoke there-at, to thereby retain the sunshade in an expanded configuration with the flexible arms extended outwardly to cause the panel into a horizontally elongated rectangular planar shape. The latch may be depressed to allow the yoke to slide towards the central support's proximal end to allow the flexible arms to bend at the elbows such that the sunshade is transformed into a compacted storage configuration.

Collapsible cover for vehicle window or door

An apparatus for partially covering a door or window opening in a vehicle comprises a collapsible cover. The cover may include a plurality of movable members adapted for moving along a support to at least partially expose the door or window opening. A plurality of movable members in the form of panels may be provided, along with actuators for rotating and/or moving one or more of the panels between the raised and collapsed configuration. One or more of the panels may be at least partially transparent or translucent, and seals may be provided for sealing the panels within the opening.
