VEHICULAR DOOR
A vehicular door includes an outer panel having an external side surface that is configured as an outer wall surface of a vehicle and an inner panel disposed on a vehicular interior side with respect to the outer panel and having an interior side surface that faces a compartment space of the vehicle. The inner panel includes at least a first panel member and a second panel member. Each of the first panel member and the second panel member includes a non-overlapping portion that has the interior side surface facing the compartment space and an exterior side surface directly facing the outer panel without having any panels between the non-overlapping portion and the outer panel.
VEHICLE DOOR WITH CARRIER MODULE HAVING SUSTAINABLE CARRIER
A carrier of a carrier module for a motor vehicle door assembly and method of manufacture thereof is provided. The carrier module has a carrier body made at least in part of sustainable material. An attachment feature is secured to the carrier body at a mounting location to secure an accessory component to the carrier body. The attachment feature receives a fastener that facilitates securing the attachment feature and the accessory component to the carrier body.
Motor vehicle with a side door
A motor vehicle has a side door which has a door inner panel on the motor vehicle interior side and a door outer skin on the motor vehicle outer side. The door inner panel and the door outer skin are joined together at least in some sections in an edge region of the side door in order to form a butt joint, wherein a gap can be formed between the door inner panel and the door outer skin in the edge region at least partly on the basis of tolerances in a Y direction and/or an X-Z direction, and a seal element is provided which can be secured to the door inner panel by securing elements, extends over the edge region, and sealingly lies against the exterior of the door inner panel and the door outer skin in each case. The seal element is made of a hard component which extends along the edge region, and a soft component is arranged on the hard component solely on the door inner panel side and the door outer skin side, said soft component sealingly lying against the exterior of the door inner panel and the door outer skin in each case so as to adjoin the edge region when the seal element is secured.
Deployable device for vehicle door
A trim panel assembly for a vehicle door includes a trim panel having an inboard side and an outboard side. An inflatable device is supported by the trim panel. The inflatable device is inflatable from an undeployed position to a deployed position. The inflatable device includes a deployable device expandable in a direction away from the inboard side of the trim panel and in a direction away from the outboard side of the trim panel from the undeployed position to the deployed position. The deployable device is a thermoplastic elastomer. The inflatable device includes an airbag supported by the deployable device in the inflated position. The airbag is a woven fabric.
SIDE DOOR STRUCTURE
A side door structure includes an inner panel, an outer panel, a drain hole, and an impact absorbing member. The inner panel covers a vehicle-widthwise outer side of a side sill extending in a front-rear direction of a vehicle body of a vehicle. The outer panel is disposed at a position facing the inner panel and joined, at an edge part of the outer panel, to the inner panel to constitute a side door of the vehicle together with the inner panel. The drain hole is provided in a lower end part of the inner panel. The drain hole is designed to rainwater entering an internal space of the side door from an outside of the vehicle. The impact absorbing member is disposed on a vehicle-widthwise inner side of the inner panel. The impact absorbing member extends in the front-rear direction at a position facing the side sill.
SIDE DOOR STRUCTURE
A side door structure includes an inner panel, an outer panel, a drain hole, an impact absorbing member, and a fixing member. The inner panel covers a vehicle-widthwise outer side of a side sill. The outer panel faces the inner panel and constitutes a side door together with the inner panel. The drain hole is provided in a lower end part of the inner panel and formed to drain rainwater entering the inside of the side door. The impact absorbing member is disposed inside the side door and extends in a front-rear direction of a vehicle body. The fixing member fixes the impact absorbing member to the inner panel at a position higher than a position facing the side sill. The fixing member is set to have a fixing strength at which the impact absorbing member is releasable upon input of an impact load of a predetermined load or more.
OUTER PANEL
An outer panel includes a ridgeline and a surface portion adjacent to both sides of the ridgeline on an outer surface. The outer panel has a sheet thickness of less than 0.6 mm and an attainable yield stress of 360 MPa or more. The surface portion includes an adjacent region adjacent to the ridgeline and a separation region adjacent to the adjacent region on an opposite side of the ridgeline. Evaluations of surface properties of the adjacent region and the separation region are consistent with each other.
Detachable modular door for a vehicle
A detachable modular vehicle door includes a frame module hinge-connected to a vehicle and configured to be opened and closed, a skin module assembled to the frame module and configured to cover an outside of the frame module, and an interior module disposed inside the frame module and configured to cover an inside of the frame module and assembled to the skin module with the frame module interposed therebetween.
Vehicle body structure
A vehicle body structure includes a vehicle outer panel, a trim member, a mounting bracket and a radar device. The vehicle outer panel has an outboard surface. The trim member is installed to the outboard surface of the vehicle outer panel. The mounting bracket is installed to an inboard side of the trim member. The radar device is installed to the mounting bracket.
CATCHER BRACKET FOR INTRUSION BEAM OF VEHICLE DOOR
A vehicle door for a vehicle comprises: a door frame configured for being mounted to a vehicle body, the door frame comprising at least one door panel; an intrusion beam mounted across the door frame, the intrusion beam having a yield strength greater than the door panel; and a catcher bracket mounted to the intrusion beam and to the door panel, the catcher bracket comprising a hook that is configured to enter an opening in the vehicle body when the vehicle door is closed, and engage with the opening upon an impact on the vehicle door.
