DOOR MODULE PLATE FOR VEHICLE
A door module plate includes a plate body provided to correspond to a door of a vehicle, a mount portion provided at an edge portion of the plate body and configured to be fastened to a fastening member, an edge groove provided at the edge portion of the plate body, and a reinforcement rib integrally protruding from an internal surface of the edge groove, obtaining an advantageous effect of ensuring rigidity and improving safety and reliability.
Frame structure of automotive exterior panel
A frame structure of an automotive exterior panel includes a sheet-like outer panel, a plurality of first members, each of which has an elongated shape, and which are disposed on a vehicle inside with respect to the outer panel, and a second member that has an elongated shape and intersects with the plurality of first members, in which each of the plurality of first members extends in a first direction along a sheet surface of the outer panel, and has a groove part recessed from the vehicle outside toward the vehicle inside at a portion thereof in a longitudinal direction, the second member extends in a second direction along the sheet surface of the outer panel, and has a thickness in a vehicle inside-outside direction, which is uniform at a portion closer to the center than at both end portions in the longitudinal direction, and at an intersection portion where each of the plurality of first members and the second members intersect with each other, the second member is in contact with the inside of the groove part provided in each of the plurality of first members.
Bushing for manufacturing structural composite preform
Provided is a bushing for manufacturing a three-dimensional composite preform using a tow made of a fiber reinforced polymer. The bushing includes a base plate in which one or more through-holes are formed, and a plurality of spools spaced apart from each other on the base plate. A flat top is formed at an end portion of the spools, and grooves are formed on outer surfaces of the plurality of spools in a circumferential direction thereof.
Method for die casting an inner door panel for a vehicle side door
A method for manufacturing an inner door panel for a vehicle side door that employs a die casting process. The method includes providing a die cast mold having opposing mold halves that combine to define a die cavity configured to provide the inner door panel. An impact beam is positioned in the mold cavity prior to combining the first mold half and the second mold half, and a molten metal is provided to the mold cavity so that molten metal flows into all areas of the mold cavity and around the impact beam after the first mold half and the second mold half are combined. A solidified molded inner door panel is then removed from the die cast mold that includes an encapsulated impact beam.
HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL VEHICLE PANEL ARRANGEMENTS
A vehicle panel arrangement having an inner panel having strategically positioned load point areas. Each of these load point areas includes a local reinforcement which is connected securely to the outer surface of the inner panel. The arrangement further includes bulkheads extending from the outside surface of the inner panel and a continuous reinforcement in contact with at least two locations on a vehicle body structure. The combination of the local reinforcements, bulkheads and continuous reinforcement ensures that when external forces are applied to the vehicle panel arrangement, the forces are efficiently distributed across the vehicle panel arrangement and to the vehicle body structure through the continuous reinforcement.
Vehicle door and method of manufacture
In one aspect, a vehicle door is provided that includes a plastic inner reinforcement for closing an opening of a vehicle. The plastic inner reinforcement fits the opening of the vehicle to provide reinforcement for the vehicle door about the periphery of the vehicle door. The vehicle door includes an outer shell, an inner cover panel, a support, a hinge portion configured to connect to a corresponding hinge portion of the opening of the vehicle, and a door latch for engaging a door strike of the opening of the vehicle. The support connects the hinge portion and the door latch to inhibit movement of the door latch relative to the hinge portion.
Stiffened panel structure
A stiffened panel structure includes a panel-shaped component and a wire. The panel-shaped component has a panel body that curves in such a manner as to be convex outward. The wire has a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion is bonded to a first point on the inner surface of the panel body. The second end portion is bonded to a second point on the inner surface of the panel body. The wire is strained between the first point and the second point.
