HEMLESS A-CLASS PANEL JOINING FOR VEHICLE BODY CONSTRUCTION
Methods and systems are disclosed for joining A-class panels with a body of a vehicle without the use of hemming. Vehicle outer panels are bonded to the vehicle structure (whether body structure or door/liftgate/hood structure) via an inductively cured adhesive joint. The process enables the body in white to be painted one color thereby minimizing painting costs and reducing any process risks. It also enables the outer panels to be painted separately and efficiently which increases throughput. The present disclosure does not require hemming at all. The present disclosure does not require spot-welds. A specialized structural epoxy adhesive filled with glass beads is laid onto the inner panel. The outer panel is then mounted onto the inner panel whereby the glass beads control the gap. The fixture used for this process incorporates an automated arm which swings the induction curing equipment over the outer panel to a precise gap.
ACTUATOR MOVING DOOR-TRIM PANEL IN CROSS-VEHICLE DIRECTION
An assembly includes a door panel. The assembly includes a door-trim panel movably supported by the door panel. The assembly includes an actuator between the door panel and the door-trim panel. The door-trim panel is selectively movable relative to the door panel in a cross-vehicle direction by the actuator.
VEHICLE DOOR INCLUDING AN INNER STRUCTURE HAVING A STORAGE COMPARTMENT WITH STRUCTURAL FEATURES THAT INCREASE THE STRENGTH OF THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT AND IMPROVE THE FEEL OF THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT
A door inner structure includes a first vertical wall, a second vertical wall, a floor, a lip, and a plurality of vertical ribs. The second vertical wall is disposed laterally inboard of the first vertical wall. The floor extends between and is connected to the first vertical wall and the second vertical wall. The first vertical wall, the second vertical wall, and the floor cooperate to define a storage compartment. The storage compartment has an open end that provides access to the storage compartment. The lip extends from a top edge of the second vertical wall toward the first vertical wall. The plurality of vertical ribs is disposed below the lip and extends from the second vertical wall. Each of the plurality of vertical ribs is connected to an outer surface of the second vertical wall and to an underside surface of the lip.
FUNCTIONAL KEY ASSEMBLY WITH SYMBOL SHOWING FUNCTIONS AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
The present application provides a functional key assembly with symbol showing function and its manufacturing method. Specifically, in this application, the symbol of the functional key is provided on the inner surface of the function showing component or outer protective plate, to eliminate the provision of the parting line. Being manufactured by over-injection molding, the protective plate is provided with a carved structure at its inner portion and a back component at its lower portion such that the image of the symbol of the function key is cast onto the surface of the protective plate through the carved structure in backlit environment and is invisible without back lit, immerging effect is thus achieved, as a result of which, the armrest plate is therefore artistically decorated and less costly to manufacture at the same time.
DOOR TRIM COVER DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A door trim cover device for a vehicle is configured so that in a vehicle including no B-pillar, a trim cover is raised by operation of an actuator to enable an operation of opening or closing a door without interference between a lower striker and a door trim while the door is opened or closed with respect to the lower striker on a side sill fastened to a lower latch of the door, and the trim cover is lowered by a reverse operation of the actuator in a closed state of the door so that the trim cover is matched with a body weather strip together with the door trim.
Trim panel assemblies of a vehicle and methods of assembling the same
The present disclosure provides a trim panel assembly of a vehicle. The trim panel assembly includes a first member having a first surface and a second surface, and including a first assembling area, a first groove positioned on the first surface along a peripheral of the first assembling area, and a plurality of first through-holes positioned in the first groove and spaced apart from each other; and a second member including a first main body corresponding to the first assembling area, and a plurality of leg portions extending from the first main body. The plurality of the first leg portions correspond to the plurality of the first through-holes, respectively, and the plurality of the first leg portions pass through corresponding a plurality of the first through-holes, extend onto and connect to the second surface of the first member.
CLIP MOUNTING SEAT
A clip mounting seat in which a clip is mounted includes walls having side edges that are connected to each other and ends between the side edges, a mounting base disposed at the ends of the walls and including a stopper hole having a hole edge a part of which is open and having an opening, the stopper hole in which the clip inserted through the opening is held, and an elastic stopper extending from one of the ends of one of the walls toward the opening and being opposite the opening. The elastic stopper includes a basal portion that extends from the one end of the one wall and a clip receiver portion that extends from the basal portion toward the opening and is opposite the opening and wider than the basal portion.
VEHICLE DOOR, IN PARTICULAR A SLIDING VEHICLE DOOR
The invention relates to a vehicle door, in particular a sliding vehicle door, comprising an inner plastic moulded part, in particular reinforced, and oriented towards the vehicle interior and an outer plastic moulded part, in particular reinforced, oriented away from the vehicle interior. The inner plastic moulded part and the outer plastic moulded part are interconnected for forming the vehicle door.
PANEL STRUCTURE FOR AUTOMOBILE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PANEL STRUCTURE FOR AUTOMOBILE
This panel structure for an automobile (10) includes: an outer panel member (1) having a sheet shape; a resin member (2) that is disposed on an inner surface of the outer panel member (1); and an adhesive portion (3) that bonds the outer panel member (1) and the resin member (2), in which the outer panel member (1) includes a base metal (12) and a coating film (14) provided on the base metal (12), the base metal (12) has a sheet thickness of 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm, the resin member (2) has a bending rigidity of 0.3?10.sup.6 N.Math.mm.sup.2 or more, and the adhesive portion (3) contains a cured material of a room-temperature curing adhesive.
Stake joint fastening system
A vehicle door trim panel fastening system is presented herein. The system includes a stake joint and mating part. The stake joint extends from at least a portion of a base panel and has a plurality of spacers. The mating part is joined to at least a portion of a door trim panel and has a plurality of protruding lock ribs. Moreover, the mating part is configured to operatively connect to the stake joint such that the mating part is interposed between the proximal end of each of the plurality of spacers and a mushroom head.
