ADJUSTABLE VEHICLE DOOR
In at least some implementations, a vehicle door includes a first section having a first void, a second section having a first projection, a first intermediate member received within the first void and having an inner surface that defines an interior, wherein the first projection is received within the interior, and a first coupler coupled to the first projection. The interior of the first intermediate member has at least a portion that is larger than the portion of the first projection received within that portion of the interior to permit movement of the first projection relative to the intermediate member. The first coupler is coupled to the intermediate member to maintain the position of the first projection relative to the first section. In this way, the position of the second section may be adjusted relative to the first section and the adjusted position can be maintained.
Vehicle storage compartment
A storage compartment of a vehicle including a passenger compartment and a passenger compartment door controlling access to the passenger compartment. The storage compartment includes a base and a side wall surrounding a storage volume. The storage compartment is located forward of a footwell of the passenger compartment, the storage compartment is further positioned so that an opening to the storage volume is accessible from a lateral side of the vehicle.
METHOD OF SCISSOR DOOR WINDOW OPERATION
A system for controlling the operation of a window installed in a door of a vehicle, comprising a control module, a vehicle door configured to move upwardly from a closed position to a fully open position, a window configured to move between a first up position and a second down position in which the window is stored in the vehicle door, and a mechanism to move the window between the first up position and the second down position. The control module is configured to direct the mechanism to move the window into the second down position when the control module has received a signal indicating that action has been taken to move the vehicle door towards the fully open position.
VEHICLE DOOR ARRANGEMENT CONFIGURED TO PREVENT OVERLAP
This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle with a door arrangement configured to prevent overlap of the doors, and a corresponding method. An exemplary motor vehicle includes a first door on a first side of the motor vehicle including a first pad adjacent a rear edge of the first door, and a second door on the first side of the motor vehicle including a second pad adjacent a front edge of the second door. Further, the first pad and second pad are arranged such that, in a first condition, the first pad and second pad are spaced-apart from one another and, in a second condition, the first pad and second pad contact one another to prevent overlap of the first door and second door.
APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING NOTIFICATION OF OPENING OR CLOSING OF SCISSOR DOORS FOR VEHICLE
An apparatus for providing a notification of opening or closing of scissor doors for a vehicle is intended to indicate an opening or closing state of the scissor doors installed in the vehicle. The apparatus includes: a first indicator unit installed in a left section of a rear side of the vehicle to indicate an opening state of a left scissor door; a second indicator unit installed in a right section of the rear side of the vehicle to indicate an opening state of a right scissor door; a motor for activating the first indicator unit and the second indicator unit; and a clutch unit to selectively activate the first indicator unit and the second indicator unit.
ASSISTANCE APPARATUS FOR OPENING AND CLOSING SCISSOR DOOR FOR VEHICLE
An assistance apparatus for opening and closing a scissor door for a vehicle includes: a door hinge having one side installed at a vehicle body to be rotated vertically through a hinge shaft, and having a door mounted at an opposite side thereof; a gas lifter having a first side installed at the vehicle body, and having a second side installed at the door hinge to assist a rotational force of the door hinge or keep a posture thereof through compression and elongation; and an opening and closing assistance unit for providing the rotational force to the door hinge in interlocking with the pressing operation of a vehicle passenger.

MULTI-AXIS HINGE FOR A STYLIZED VEHICLE DOOR
A multi-axis hinge mechanism for a vehicle door. The multi-axis hinge mechanism moves the vehicle door laterally and vertically by means of multiple axial rotations. An actuator pivots the door hinges attaching the door to the vehicle to move the door away from the vehicle while a set of gears translates the motion of the actuator into a vertical rotation of the door.
Door assembly for a vehicle
A door assembly for a vehicle. The door assembly has a door body and a hinge. The hinge is connected to the door body and is rotatable about an axis of the hinge. The hinge is configured to expand along the axis from a contracted position to an expanded position when rotated in a first direction, and is configured to contract along the axis from the expanded position to the contracted position when rotated in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction. In the contracted position, the door body is in a closed, lowered position. In the expanded position, the door body is in an open, raised position.

A vehicle has a door including: a canopy section covering a cabin from above; and a side section bulging outward in a vehicle width direction from the canopy section to cover an upper surface of a body lateral section and formed integrally with the canopy section, in which a front end of the door is attached to a body in a freely rotatable manner, and a rear end of the door is vertically movable to open/close the cabin. The vehicle further has a seat section that supports buttocks of an occupant at the time when the occupant gets in/out and is provided on an upper surface of the body lateral section covered with the side section from above.
