A module includes an intrusion beam coupled to the frame member and removable from the door housing. The module is configured to accept attachment of a module hinge and a module latch to provide a secondary door assembly. A modular vehicle door assembly and a method of assembling a door assembly to a vehicle are also disclosed.
Replacement Jeep® door frame and fabric cover
A collapsible door frame with an extendable upper and lower fabric cover replaces a factory door for a JEEP® or other sport utility vehicle, providing the vehicle for operation with an open door frame with the application of the collapsible door frame and extension of an upper clear and lower fabric covering from a cross-frame member, the upper and lower covering attaching to the collapsible door frame to provide protection from adverse weather conditions.
Off-highway recreational vehicle
A recreational off-highway vehicle includes side-by-side passenger and driver seats held within a chassis that is approximately 50 inches wide. The seats sit low in the chassis and are covered by a roll cage. Grab handles are positioned on the sides of the passenger seat. Select large round tubing protects the vehicle, while rectangular tubing frames the portions of the vehicle beneath body panels. The vehicle is powered by an engine rearward of the seats that is connected to a transaxle. The engine and transaxle are isolation mounted together with a portion of the air intake assembly. The vehicle is suited for rough terrain travel.
Vehicle half door assemblies
A multi-component door assembly for a vehicle includes a lower door portion rotatably coupled to a body of the vehicle and including at least one receiving aperture defined therein, and an upper door portion selectively removable from the lower door portion and including at least one post configured to be received within the at least one receiving aperture for removably coupling the upper door portion to the lower door portion. At least one trim cap is configured to selectively cover and conceal the at least one receiving aperture.
Stowable check strap assembly for vehicle door
A stowable check strap assembly for a vehicle having a body and a removable door. The assembly includes a bracket configured to rotatably couple to the vehicle body, and a check strap rotatably coupled to the bracket and configured to be operably and removably coupled with a door detent coupled to the removable door. The bracket is rotatable between a deployed position where the check strap is positioned to extend outwardly from the vehicle body and engage the door detent, and a stowed position where the check strap is positioned to be and is rotated toward the vehicle body for stowage thereof.
Side-By-Side Utility Vehicle
A side-by-side utility vehicle includes a frame, a cockpit, a prime mover assembly having an engine, a transmission assembly, and a gear shift assembly, and an intake and exhaust system having a combustion air intake manifold and a combustion exhaust manifold. The combustion air intake manifold is closer to the seat(s) than the combustion exhaust manifold. The engine defines a cylinder head mid-point and the seat(s) define a seat beam front point, the ratio of a distance between the cylinder head mid-point and the seat beam front point to a wheel base is in the range from 0.22 to 0.49. The heat source generated by the engine is away from the driver, improving the comfort, increasing the storage space, and facilitating the maintenance.
