A multi-component door assembly for a vehicle includes a lower door portion rotatably coupled to a body of the vehicle and including at least one receiving aperture defined therein, and an upper door portion selectively removable from the lower door portion and including at least one post configured to be received within the at least one receiving aperture for removably coupling the upper door portion to the lower door portion. Aspects of the invention relate to a track-based accessory system. The track-based accessory system may be for use with a golf cart. The track-based accessory system may include two elongated members. Each elongated member may be configured to be attached to a golf cart. Each elongated member may include an enclosure track. Each elongated member may also include an accessory track. Each enclosure track may include an enclosure slot. Each enclosure slot may be configured to engage a golf cart enclosure. Each accessory track may include a keyway. Each keyway may be configured to engage at least one accessory.

A vehicle door assembly includes a door housing configured for covering a vehicle access opening. A frame member is disposed within the door housing. A module includes an intrusion beam coupled to the frame member and removable from the door housing. The module is configured to accept attachment of a module hinge and a module latch to provide a secondary door assembly. Lift trucks can have an operator compartment designed with an ergonomically improved cab door having a door frame, a set of glass sheets, upper and lower hinges, a handle, a door catch assembly, a door support member, and one or more operator handlebars. The door support member and operator handlebars can be sized and/or positioned to provide structural strength to the door. The cab door can have an unobstructed door design to facilitate maximum operator visibility. The catch assembly can maintain the door in an open position and the operator can readily close the door when desired. In one embodiment, the door includes a vertical operator handlebar and a horizontal operator handlebar that facilitate easy entry into and exit from the operator compartment without unduly obscuring operator visibility through the door.

An elastic integrally formed windshield retaining clip includes walls defining a frame channel to receive and retain a portion of an upright windshield frame, and walls defining a pane channel to receive and retain a portion of an edge of a windshield while the portion of the upright windshield frame is retained in the frame channel. The frame channel not only surrounds three sides of a windshield frame, but also surrounds the majority of the fourth side of the frame. Angled walls exert pressure against the retained edge of the windshield and the frame.

A restraint system operating method includes, among other things, when a detachable door is attached to a vehicle, operating a restraint system of a vehicle at least in part in response to a signal from a door sensor of the detachable door. When the detachable door is detached from the vehicle, the method operates the restraint system of the vehicle without relying on the signal from the door sensor.

A collapsible door frame with an extendable fabric cover replaces a factory door for a Jeep or other sport utility vehicle, providing the vehicle for operation without a door while still allowing the drive to assemble and install the collapsible door frame and extend the fabric cover to provide protection from adverse weather conditions.
