A passenger side gull wing door and a driver side gull wing door are mounted to the main header member by a plurality of hinges affixed to the main header member and which provide a movable joint for the gull wing doors. One or more hydraulic lift cylinders are operative to raise and lower a respective gull wing door.
Systems and methods for egress from a motor home
An emergency exit door assembly for a vehicle. The door assembly can include a door panel that is movably coupled to the wall of the vehicle. The door panel can have an inner surface and an outer surface. The door panel can be configured for selective movement between a closed position and an open position in which an opening within the wall is exposed. A headboard component can be incorporated into the door panel, and a bed pedestal within the vehicle can be positioned in proximity to the headboard component when the door panel is in a closed position.
HATCH OPERATING MECHANISM
The invention relates to a hatch operating mechanism arranged to control opening and closing movements of a hatch (202; 302; 402) covering an opening in a vehicle. The mechanism comprises a first and a second arm (211, 221; 311, 321; 411, 421), which are rotatably attached to the vehicle at a first end and rotatably attached onto the hatch at a second end. A first and a second connecting element (214, 224; 314, 324; 414, 424) are arranged extending between and displaceable relative to a pair of spaced apart, parallel guide means (216, 226, 217, 227; 316, 317; 416, 417) fixed to the hatch (202; 302; 402), wherein the second ends of the first and second arms (211, 221; 311, 321; 411, 421) are rotatably attached to a respective first and second connecting element (214, 224; 314, 324; 414, 424). The first and second arms (211, 221; 311, 321; 411, 421) are simultaneously rotatable in opposite directions about their first ends over an arcuate path; and the connecting elements (214, 224; 314, 324; 414, 424) are arranged to execute a reciprocating movement along the guide means (216, 226; 217, 227) during the rotation of the first and second arms over the arcuate path.
Automotive vehicle through body storage with combination door and step
An automotive vehicle with a storage compartment has a cabin, a set of rear wheels located behind the cabin, a cargo space, and a closable integrated storage compartment located adjacent to the cabin, rearward of a rear-most seat of the automotive vehicle, and forward of the set of rear wheels. At least a portion of the storage compartment is positioned forward of a forward wall of the cargo space. The storage compartment has at least one sidewall enclosing an interior portion of the storage compartment and extending from a first side panel at a first side of the automotive vehicle toward a second side of the automotive vehicle, a first opening to the storage compartment at the first side of the automotive vehicle, and a first door at the first opening. The first door has a first step member with a horizontal step surface when open.
TOUR BUS
A tour bus includes a vehicle body, a front door, a rear door, a plurality of wheels, a luggage compartment door and a movable placing portion. The front door, the rear door and the luggage compartment door are all disposed at one lateral side of the vehicle body, with the luggage compartment door between the front door and the rear door. The wheels connected individually to a bottom of the vehicle body are used for displacing the vehicle body. The movable placing portion is foldably disposed in a storage area of the vehicle body. The movable placing portion includes a placing platform and a supportive structure. The placing platform can protrude out of the storage area of the vehicle body. The supportive structure is pivotally connected with the placing platform, and the supportive structure supports the placing platform while the placing platform is moved out of the vehicle body.
