MOTORIZED DOORS AND RELATED METHODS
A motorized door assembly for a vehicle includes a housing having a housing body, a housing opening extending into a housing cavity, a door coupled to the housing and rotatable with respect to the housing about a pivot axis, a motor with a motor head fixed to the housing and a motor adapter rotatably coupled to the motor head about a rotation axis that is different than the pivot axis, and an arm coupled to the door and the motor. The housing cavity secures a component therein. The door conceals the housing cavity in a door closed position and reveals the housing cavity in a door open position.
Security enclosure with dual doors and under-seat storage
An enclosure for positioning within a vehicle and having a secure holding cell for housing one or more persons. The enclosure includes a body that forms the holding cell to contain the persons. Benches are positioned within the interior space to accommodate the persons. An area below the benches forms a storage compartment. Access doors to the storage compartments are positioned outside of the holding cell along an exterior side of the enclosure. Doors that enclose the holding cell are movable between open and closed positions and include notches to provide access to the storage compartments.
TOWABLE RECREATIONAL VEHICLE WITH UNDER FRAME STORAGE
A towable RV has a frame with a lower portion and upper portion affixed thereto. The lower portion has frame rails that extend uninterrupted from the rear wall to a lower front wall. The lower edges of the frame rails form a plane. The upper portion overhangs the lower front wall and supports an upper floor that extends rearward and overhangs the lower portion. A lower storage area is affixed to and located below the plane formed by the uninterrupted frame rails. An upper storage area is located between the upper floor and uninterrupted frame rails that is accessible from the sides and lower front wall of the RV.

Compartment door system with water management feature
A door system includes a door panel and a door panel frame. The door panel frame includes a peripheral web, an outer flange extending outwardly from the web, a seal flange extending inwardly from the web, and a guard flange extending inwardly from the web. The seal flange is outboard of the guard flange. Lower portions of the seal flange may include perforations there through to allow water that may accumulate between the seal flange and the guard flange to exit the frame outwardly.
OFF-ROAD TRAILER
An off-road trailer includes a lower frame, a housing positioned on the lower frame, an extendible trailer tongue with a ball hitch receiver, an upper frame positioned above an upper surface of the housing, a rear frame, and at least two wheels. The upper frame and housing may store off-road gear, such as camping accessories. The housing may have one or more retractable platforms that may receive additional gear. Due to the configuration of the lower frame and the wheels, the trailer may be configured to traverse numerous types of terrain due to its lightweight frame and maneuverability.
DUAL-HINGE CLOSURE WITH LATCHING IN HORIZONTAL DIRECTION
A closure system for a vehicle comprises: a dual-hinge closure comprising a first portion hinged to the vehicle by a first hinge, and a second portion hinged to the first portion by a second hinge; a frame that at least in part surrounds an opening in the vehicle; an adjustable bump stop subassembly mounted to the first portion, wherein the adjustable bump stop subassembly rests on the frame when the first portion is in a closed position; and a latch system comprising a latch configured to engage a horizontal striker, the latch system configured so that an end of the second portion opposite the second hinge latches to and unlatches from a distal portion of the frame by essentially horizontal motion.
BAGGAGE DOOR
A door installation clip includes a mounting portion and an engagement portion. The mounting portion is configured for attachment to an exposed edge of an opening in a panel, for example, a sidewall of a vehicle. The engagement portion includes engagement members extending toward the interior of the opening. A frame having an engagement feature may be assembled to the clips and panel by inserting a portion of the frame into the opening such that the engagement feature of the frame engages with an engagement member of the clip.
Hatch operating mechanism
A hatch operating mechanism is arranged to control opening and closing movements of a hatch covering an opening in a vehicle. The mechanism comprises a first arm and a second arm each having a first end and a second end, wherein each arm is rotatably attached to the vehicle at the first end and rotatably attached to the hatch at the second end. First and second connecting elements extend between and are displaceable relative to a pair of spaced apart, parallel guides fixed to the hatch, wherein the second ends of the arms are rotatably attached to the respective connecting elements. The first arm rotates in a first direction over a first arcuate path, and the second arm simultaneously rotates in an opposing second direction over a second arcuate path; and the first and second connecting elements are configured for reciprocating movement along the guides during rotation of the arms.
LUGGAGE COMPARTMENTS FOR VEHICLES
A motor vehicle having an outer bodywork surface including front and rear wheel arches and at least one passenger or driver door on each side of the vehicle, in which a luggage compartment is provided on at least one side of the vehicle, each luggage compartment being located within the outer surface and forwardly of the rear wheel arch, the luggage compartment having an opening which extends at least partially over the top of the luggage compartment and which is closable with a hinged panel, the panel forming part of the outer bodywork surface of the vehicle and having a hinge which is located behind the rear of the luggage compartment and towards the rear of the vehicle.
