BACKDOOR AND REAR GLASS
A backdoor includes a resin outer panel having an opening; a resin inner panel; a metal reinforcement arranged between the outer panel and the inner panel; and a rear glass covering the opening. The rear glass includes a defogger, and an antenna conductor capable of receiving radio waves in an AM band. The antenna conductor includes a power feeding part, and an antenna element having a predetermined length and connected to the power feeding part. The antenna element includes a proximity part extending along an outer edge among upper, lower, left, and right outer edges of the defogger, and having a predetermined spacing from the outer edge. The antenna element is positioned to be separated from the reinforcement by a predetermined spacing, or positioned on a side with respect to the outer edge where the reinforcement is not present in plan view of the rear glass.
POWER TAILGATE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A vehicle tailgate can be being pivotally and removably attached to a cargo area of the vehicle. Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a system and method of operating a power tailgate assembly for a vehicle. In one embodiment, the disclosed system can detect that a tailgate, connected to the vehicle by a pivotal connection and having an open position and a closed position, is in the open position, detect that the vehicle is being driven, detect, by one or more sensors, a movement of the tailgate, and control a motor assembly to restrain movement of the tailgate and return the tailgate to the open position in response to detecting that the tailgate is in the open position, the vehicle is being driven, and the tailgate has moved more than a threshold amount.
Integrated controller with sensors for electromechanical biasing member
An electromechanical biasing member for moving a closure panel between an open and a closed position relative to a motor vehicle body is provided. The electromechanical biasing member includes a housing having an inner cavity for housing an electric motor having a motor shaft and a rotary output member rotatable relative to the housing. An extension member within the housing and engageable with the rotary output member moves the closure panel between the open and closed positions in response to driving the electric motor. Also provided is a control unit positioned within the inner cavity and configured to drive the electric motor, the control unit including at least one controller board juxtaposed to the electric motor, and a plurality of control components mounted to the at least one controller board and configured to supply a drive signal to the electric motor and receive signals representative of operation of the electric motor.
VEHICLE REAR LIFTGATE SEAL
A liftgate seal is disclosed for a vehicle including a vehicle roof and a vehicle liftgate having a liftgate window pane, the liftgate seal includes a base wall, adapted to be secured to an interior surface of the window pane, and a channel structure including a first wall connected to the base wall and a second wall angled relative to the first wall. The second wall includes a distal end adapted to contact a rear edge of the vehicle roof when the vehicle liftgate is closed position thereby sealing a gap between the rear edge of the vehicle roof and the liftgate window pane.
Ramp door with self-deploying rail
A ramp door and door frame include a rail kit that deploys automatically when the door is opened and collapses automatically when the door is closed. The door is supported by a cable mechanism when the door is opened. The cable mechanism causes an end rail to pivot up and away from the door when the door is opened and down and toward the door when the door is closed. The end rail cooperates with a door frame to deploy flexible side barriers when the door is opened and to collapse the side barriers when the door is closed.
Resin back door for vehicle and method of manufacturing the same
A resin back door includes a resin inner panel, a resin lower outer panel, and a metal reinforcing member disposed in a hollow space defined by the inner panel and the lower outer panel. In the resin back door, the reinforcing member has an annular shape extending along an outer peripheral edge of the inner panel, and includes right and left reinforcing members and a lower-side reinforcing member which are separated from each other and fixed to the inner panel with an adhesive leaving a gap. The reinforcing members are connected by using right and left corner connecting members and an upper connecting member to constitute the reinforcing member.
Tailgate Latch Assembly for Vehicle
A tailgate latch assembly is provided for a vehicle. The tailgate latch assembly restrains a striker formed in a tailgate which is opened reward of a vehicle or release the striker from restraint. The tailgate latch assembly comprises a claw that is supported resiliently in a direction of releasing restraint of the striker in a housing and rotated in a direction opposite to the direction of being supported resiliently when the striker enters. A pawl is supported resiliently in the housing and restrains or releases the claw. A wheel gear is rotated by a drive motor and releases restraint of the claw by rotating the pawl after pushing a contact part formed on one side of the pawl by an operation part formed on one side of the wheel gear.
System and method for controlling an automatic liftgate in a motor vehicle
A method for controlling an automatic liftgate in a vehicle includes detecting a garage door frame of a garage using a front camera or a rear camera mounted on the vehicle, determining a garage height of the garage door frame, determining whether the vehicle has entered the garage, and setting a custom height to which the automatic liftgate can open to the garage height of the garage door frame when the vehicle has entered the garage.
Resin back door for vehicle
A resin back door for a vehicle includes a resin inner panel, a resin lower outer panel, a metal left reinforcing member, and a damper stay bracket. The metal left reinforcing member is disposed in a hollow space defined by the inner panel and the lower outer panel, and is fixed to the inner panel with an adhesive leaving a gap. The damper stay bracket is attached on an outer side of the inner panel in a vehicle width direction. In the resin back door for a vehicle, the damper stay bracket is fastened to the left reinforcing member across a collar having one end inserted into a hole provided in the inner panel.
HINGE DEVICE
A hinge device for a vehicle, wherein the hinge device includes a first member, which has two spaced brackets, a second member, which is arranged between the brackets. The hinge device further includes a hinge arrangement defining a hinge axis and adapted to connect the second member to the brackets so that the members may turn in relation to each other about the hinge axis. The hinge device is adapted for allowing movement of the hinge axis via movement of the hinge arrangement.
