A tonneau cover system, comprising: (a) a retractable tonneau cover having a plurality of interconnected panels; (b) a first retainer secured to a first sidewall of a cargo box of a vehicle; and (c) a second retainer secured to an opposing second sidewall of the cargo box, wherein the first retainer and the second retainer are substantially parallel to each other so that the tonneau cover spans between the first retainer and the second retainer; and wherein the plurality of panels each include a bearing positioned within the first retainer to guide the tonneau cover in a direction substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the first retainer.

Retractable hard panel tonneau cover
A tonneau cover that includes a first panel and a second panel. The first panel is arranged rearward of the second panel in vehicle position when the tonneau cover is in a first position, each of the first panel and the second panel comprise a top surface and an opposing bottom surface. The first panel and the second panel are movable into a second position where the bottom surface of the first panel is juxtaposed with the bottom surface of the second panel.

A side rail for a cargo bed of a vehicle comprising an elongate body that defines a longitudinal axis; an axially extending drive channel disposed at a medial side of the body and defining an opening therein for receiving a drive chain, the drive channel having a recessed inner portion and a stepped outer portion adjacent the opening; a first receiving channel disposed within an upper wall of the outer portion of the drive channel and extending axially therealong; a first sealing member disposed within the first receiving channel; a second receiving channel disposed opposite the first receiving channel within a lower wall of the outer portion of the drive channel and extending axially therealong; and a guide element disposed within the second receiving channel and projecting upwardly therefrom, the guide element having an upper contact surface for slidably contacting a surface of the drive chain.

STACKING RIGID COVER
A retractable cover system includes laterally spaced apart guide rails that define an opening and each provide a track. The system further includes a cover that has multiple slats that are configured to interlock with one another in a deployed configuration. The slats cooperate with the drive assembly and are slidable in the tracks between first and second positions within the opening in response to actuation of the drive assembly. The slats are stacked onto one another in a stowed configuration. The system further includes a follower that supports the slats. The system further includes a spring-biased pulley system that is configured to cooperate with the follower and biases the slats toward the tracks.
Dynamic roof top for truck body and method of operation
A dynamic roof top for a truck body and method of assembly is provided. The dynamic roof top comprises at least one dynamic panel having a plurality of wheels for translating the at least one dynamic panel from an extended or closed position to a retracted or opened position and from the retracted or opened position to the extended or closed position. A static panel is included that allows the at least one dynamic panel to obtain and enveloped condition between the dynamic panel and the static panel. A rail system is also provided to allow the dynamic panel to translate from the extended or closed position to a retracted or opened position and from the retracted or open position to the extended or closed position.
