Sunroof seal apparatus and related sunroof assemblies for use with vehicles
A disclosed assembly includes a rail and an inner seal fixedly coupled to the rail that is arranged along a length of the rail. The inner seal includes a flap hiding a part of the rail adjacent the flap from view in a vehicle cabin. A shoe slidably coupled to the rail adjacent the flap is movable along the rail to open or close a sunshade held by the shoe. A channel extending through the shoe receives the flap. The shoe is engaged with a first segment of the flap folded in the channel while a second segment of the flap external to the channel is unfolded. Movement of the shoe causing the second segment to pass into the channel and fold therein as the first segment exits the channel and unfolds to prevent the part of the rail from being exposed.
Frame of a Vehicle Roof and Production Thereof
The invention relates to a frame, comprising, on each of its two sides relative to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the roof, a respective longitudinal beam made of sheet metal and at least one transverse beam made of sheet metal and connecting the two longitudinal beams to each other. The longitudinal beams and the at least one transverse beam are connected to each other via joint lines made of polyurethane foam. Moreover, a method for producing the frame is proposed.

SUNROOF DEVICE
Provided is a sunroof device including: a stay (13) that is attached to a roof panel; a lifting arm (4) that serves to lift, and support the weight of, the roof panel; and a guide member (5) that is attached to the lifting arm (4) and guides the sliding of the roof panel via a guide groove (6) into which the stay (13) is fit, wherein the guide member (5) is configured to include a first member (16) that is molded of a resin material and has the guide groove (6), and a second member (17) as a reinforcing member that covers the first member (16), wherein the first member (16) can be inserted into or removed from the second member (17) in the sliding direction of the roof panel and is mounted to the second member (17) by a snap-fit coupling means (19) that exploits elastic deformation of the first member (16) toward the guide groove (6). This arrangement facilitates assembling the guide member (5).
Roof Support for Autonomous Vehicle Sensors
A sensor support structure for a vehicle includes a roof panel supported by bodyside pillars and a support structure. The support structure is attached to the roof via a mounting ring extending in a substantially rectangular shape around a portion of the roof panel. The mounting ring defines two sections of the support structure on the roof. The support structure further includes a cartridge defined within the sections of the mounting ring. The cartridge is configured to provide attachment of a plurality of sensors to the roof panel and is supported by the mounting ring such that a weight of the support structure, including the sensors, is distributed to the bodyside pillars.

Method for coupling a sunroof glass apparatus to a vehicle body
A method for coupling a sunroof glass apparatus includes the following steps: (a) moving a fixture toward a roof portion of a vehicle body in order to insert a plurality of pins of the fixture into locating holes formed in the vehicle body; (b) coupling net plates to the arms of an actuating mechanism of the sunroof assembly; (c) decoupling the fixture from the net plates while maintaining the net plates coupled to the arms of the actuating mechanism; and (d) coupling the flanges of the sunroof glass apparatus to arms of the actuating mechanism via the net plates in order to movably couple the sunroof glass apparatus to the vehicle body. In another embodiment, the presently disclosed method may additionally include coupling the net plates to the fixture before moving the fixture toward the roof portion of the vehicle body.
