Furthermore, a method for installing a multi-part frame (10) is specified.
SUNROOF APPARATUS
A sunroof apparatus includes: a pair of guide rail members which are arranged on two opposite side edges in a vehicle widthwise direction of a roof opening along a vehicle front-rear direction; a movable panel; and a functional member which is configured to move along the pair of guide rail members and support the movable panel to open and close the roof opening, each guide rail member is provided with a functional member accommodating portion which accommodates the functional member and is located on an outer side of the vehicle widthwise direction with respect to the roof opening. According to the sunroof apparatus, the visual field from the sunroof in a vehicle chamber can be effectively enlarged, and water, dust or the like can be effectively prevented from invading the arrangement space of the functional member.
SUNROOF APPARATUS
A sunroof apparatus includes: a roof opening, a bent portion formed by bending a vehicle top plate downward is arranged on an edge of the roof opening; a movable panel which is configured to move along a vehicle front-rear direction to open and close the roof opening; a sealing member which is arranged on a front end edge and a rear end edge of the movable panel along a vehicle widthwise direction and on a left end edge and a right end edge of the movable panel and is provided with a main body portion and a press-contacted portion that is connected with the main body portion and that is pressed and contacted with a lower end of the bent portion in a vehicle upper-lower direction in a fully closed state; and a panel reinforcement portion which supports the movable panel and is arranged below the sealing member.
SUNROOF APPARATUS
A sunroof apparatus includes: a movable panel which is configured to open and close a roof opening; and a panel reinforcement portion, one end of which being close to a center of the roof opening is connected with the movable panel, and the other end of which being away from the center of the roof opening is located on a side being away from the center of the roof opening with respect to an edge of the roof opening, the panel reinforcement portion is provided with a recess which is located below the edge of the roof opening, and is provided with a notch or a hole. According to the sunroof apparatus, the invading water can be stored by a simple structure, and water and dust can be effectively prevented from invading a sliding range of a functional member to thereby effectively maintain a sliding performance of the functional member.
Roof system
A roof system comprises a stationary part configured to be attached to a fixed roof and includes guide rails on opposite sides of a roof opening. The guide rails slidably support an operating mechanism for a panel and include guide grooves bordered by guide flanges. The operating mechanism includes a driving slide for a panel front support, and a panel rear support. The rear support is connected to a panel bracket guide of a panel bracket extending alongside a corresponding edge of the panel. The panel bracket guide slidably engages the rear support so as to enable the panel to slide with respect to the rear support when the front support is driven by the driving slide. The front support engages a guide rail groove of an upright flange of each guide rail while the panel bracket guide extends mainly on the other, inner side of said upright flange.

Lifting Guide Mechanism for Sunroof Device
A lifting guide mechanism for a sunroof device that can be reduced in weight, thickness, and cost is provided. A second rear guide pin (27) is provided behind and above a first rear guide pin (26) which can be received in a guide groove (34). A first upper wall (32) is formed with a rear opening part (36) to allow the first rear guide pin (26) to get in and out of the guide groove (34). A first rear lifting guide member (39) is provided on the first upper wall (32) so as to project upward at rear of the rear opening part (36) to guide the second rear guide pin (27) when a movement of a movable panel (11) is switched between sliding and tilting. This eliminates the need for a member for guiding the first rear guide pin (26) in the guide groove (34), and thus, the panel guide rail (14) may have a single-level structure.
Opening and closing mechanism and sunroof device having the same
An opening and closing mechanism includes a connecting member and a sliding member. A movable panel of a sunroof device is fastened to the connecting member which has a plate-type connecting member main body extending in a front-rear direction, and a thickness direction of the connecting member main body coincides with a width direction. The connecting member main body is formed with a through hole which goes through the connecting member main body in the width direction and extends along the specified curve in the front-rear direction. The sliding member has a sliding member main body formed by sheet metal, the sliding member main body includes a pair of vertical walls and a connecting wall which connects upper ends of the vertical walls, and the connecting wall engages with and slides in the through hole so the connecting member inclines in an up-down direction or moves in the front-rear direction.

ROOF SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A roof system comprises a panel movable between closed and open positions. An operating mechanism comprises front and rear devices. A slide moves the panel both in vertical and horizontal directions via the front and rear devices. At least one of the front and rear devices comprises a lever connected to the slide or the stationary rail through a second pivot pin. A first guide cam is at least partly in engagement with either a stationary guide and/or a curve in the slide. The slide includes a first and second slide part are pivotally connected to each other. One of the slide parts, that is pivotally and slidably connected to said lever, includes a cam engaging a guide curve in the stationary guide rail to force said one slide part to pivot with respect to the other slide part during at least a part of the sliding movement of the slide.
