A vehicle construction is proposed, having a displaceable top between a closed-top position and a cleared position and that has, in the rear, a top element extending in the transverse direction of the vehicle and being movable and rigid, a rear pillar on each of the two sides in relation a vertical longitudinal center plane of the vehicle as well as a rear window that can be displaced between a closed position, in which it closes a vehicle tail opening, and an open position, in which the tail opening is cleared at least partially. A circumferential sealing system that is in contact with the rear pillars and against the rigid top part in the closed position of the rear window, in relation to the vehicle environment from the inside, is linked to the rear window in a permanent fashion.

The invention relates to a sun blind system for a motor vehicle, having two guide rails, in each of which a guide band is received, and a flat blind body which is connected to the two guide bands, wherein a receiving channel is provided on each guide rail for the corresponding guide band, said channel having two guide sections which are connected together by a deflecting section.

A top arrangement of a motor vehicle having a hard-top or folding-top section and a top cutout which borders the hard-top or folding-top section and which can be either closed or at least partially opened by means of a top opening system comprising at least one displaceable lid element, which can be shifted over the hard-top or folding-top section, and a top cover, which spans at least the hard-top or folding-top section in a closed position of the top opening system and is fixed to the lid element across its entire width.

A vehicle roof including an openable folding roof and a tensioning cable which tensions the folding roof in the closed state. One front end of the cable is fixedly anchored to a front roof part of the folding roof and at the rear end is held on a rear roof component which is fixed to the vehicle. The tensioning cable is length-adjustable for adjusting the cable tension via a tensioning cable system. The tensioning cable system comprises a latching base fixedly anchored to the rear roof component, a latching element attached to the rear end of the tensioning cable, and a latching mechanism which is adjustable in multiple stages and disposed between the latching base and the latching element for adjusting the longitudinal position of latching element relative to the latching base only in the longitudinal direction. The latching element in the adjusted position is held so as to be latched in a form-fitting manner to the latching base.

A top for a convertible vehicle, displaceable between a closed position to cover a vehicle interior, and an open storage position, the top having a top linkage, which has a link arrangement on both sides with respect to the top vertical longitudinal center plane, each link arrangement pivotably mounted on a main bearing, which is fixed to the vehicle, a top element, which can be displaced between a lifted operating position and a lowered storage position by means of the top linkage, and a locking means on both sides of the vertical longitudinal center plane of the top, each locking means being height-adjustable together with the top element and comprising a locking hook arrangement, which is displaceable between a locked position and a release position and which secures the top element, both in the operating and storage position, to at least one component fixed to the vehicle body.

A panel structure 30 includes a panel 40 having a first insertion hole 42, a reinforcement 50 having a second insertion hole 52, and a fixing member 70 having a shaft 71 inserted in the first and second insertion holes 42 and 52, and sandwiching and fixing the panel 40 and the reinforcement 50 in their thickness direction. The panel 40 has a higher thermal expansion coefficient than the reinforcement 50. A diameter of the second insertion hole 52 in a direction of thermal expansion of the panel 40 is larger than a diameter of the first insertion hole 42 in the direction.

A sliding/folding soft top assembly having opposing first and second linkage assemblies with a plurality of guide rollers located within a first and second guide track for selectively moving the soft top assembly between a deployed position to a first stowed position or a retracted stowed position. A first bow and second bow are coupled to each of the first and second linkage assemblies, which include a first pivot joint for rotating the first bow to the first stowed position. A rear pivot joint allows a rear link of the first and second linkage assemblies to rotate in an area where the first and second guide tracks curve. A third bow is rotatably connected to first and second pivot brackets, and a fourth bow is pivotably connected to the third bow, to allow rotation of the third and fourth bow between the deployed position and retracted stowed position.

A top for a convertible vehicle, displaceable between a closed position to cover a vehicle interior, and an open storage position, the top having a top linkage, which has a link arrangement on both sides with respect to the top vertical longitudinal center plane, each link arrangement pivotably mounted on a main bearing, which is fixed to the vehicle, a top element, which can be displaced between a lifted operating position and a lowered storage position by means of the top linkage, and a locking means on both sides of the vertical longitudinal center plane of the top, each locking means being height-adjustable together with the top element and comprising a locking hook arrangement, which is displaceable between a locked position and a release position and which secures the top element, both in the operating and storage position, to at least one component fixed to the vehicle body.

A vehicle convertible top having a link arrangement on both sides relative to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the convertible-top, link arrangement being mounted on a main bearing fixed, displaces a convertible-top element between a lifted operating position and a lowered storage position. Each link arrangement may have a base link, mounted on the main bearing; a four-joint arrangement having a first adjusting link and a second adjusting link are connected to the convertible-top element; and a coupling element, a component of the four-joint arrangement, to which the base link, the first adjusting link and the second adjusting link are hinged. The link arrangements each may have a backlite link arrangement having a first coupling link hinged to the coupling element, which can be connected to one of the adjusting links via a second coupling link to couple the four-joint arrangement to the backlite link arrangement.

A soft top assembly which includes lift assist with improved fabric management and a lift assist locking mechanism. The soft top is rotatable between a closed, open sunroof position, and open position. When a cam of the lift assist locking mechanism is in a locked position, the soft top is prevented from moving from the open sunroof position to the open position. When a release mechanism of the lift assist is actuated, the cam is moved to an unlocked position allowing the soft top to be moved rearward into the open position. A handle lockout of the lift assist locking mechanism selectively positions a cam lockout to prevent the soft top from moving/rotating back to the open sunroof position.
