A soft top assembly which includes lift assist with improved fabric management and a lift assist locking mechanism. The soft top is rotatable between a closed, open sunroof position, and open position. When a cam of the lift assist locking mechanism is in a locked position, the soft top is prevented from moving from the open sunroof position to the open position. When a release mechanism of the lift assist is actuated, the cam is moved to an unlocked position allowing the soft top to be moved rearward into the open position. A handle lockout of the lift assist locking mechanism selectively positions a cam lockout to prevent the soft top from moving/rotating back to the open sunroof position.

A retractable roof system for a vehicle that includes a sliding/folding textile cover. The cover is folded as the roof system retracts and is stored below a spoiler assembly. The spoiler is an active spoiler that is raised to receive the cover and lowered to enclose the cover in a storage compartment below the spoiler.

A vacuum blocker for a movable roof panel is provided and moves between an open position and a closed position and between a seated position and a lifted position when in the closed position relative to an opening formed in a fixed roof panel of a vehicle. A seal member is supported by the fixed roof panel and forms a first seal at a junction of the fixed roof panel and the movable roof panel when the movable roof panel is in the seated position. A flap extends between the seal member and the movable roof panel and forms a second seal at a junction of the seal member and the movable roof panel when the movable roof panel is in the closed position and is moved from the seated position to the lifted position.

A vehicle roof including an openable folding roof and a tensioning cable which tensions the folding roof in the closed state. One front end of the cable is fixedly anchored to a front roof part of the folding roof and at the rear end is held on a rear roof component which is fixed to the vehicle. The tensioning cable is length-adjustable for adjusting the cable tension via a tensioning cable system. The tensioning cable system comprises a latching base fixedly anchored to the rear roof component, a latching element attached to the rear end of the tensioning cable, and a latching mechanism which is adjustable in multiple stages and disposed between the latching base and the latching element for adjusting the longitudinal position of latching element relative to the latching base only in the longitudinal direction. The latching element in the adjusted position is held so as to be latched in a form-fitting manner to the latching base.

The invention relates to a roof of a vehicle having a folding sliding roof which is designed to be adjustable between a closed position and an open position for the purposes of selectively closing and opening a roof opening, wherein the roof opening is delimited by a roof frame which is fastenable to a body, wherein the roof frame is assembled from individual frame parts, wherein the frame parts comprise a front transverse member, a rear transverse member and a first and a second roof side member, and wherein the first and the second roof side member are connected by way of their ends to the transverse members in connecting regions, wherein the connecting regions form front and rear corners, and wherein, in the corners, there are cut-out regions which form apertures for the leadthrough of functional elements or for providing access for the adjustment of functional systems.
