A LID ARRANGEMENT FOR A CANISTER FOR A ROLLUP TRUCK BED COVER
A lid arrangement for a canister for a rollup truck bed cover comprises a lid and a canister. The canister has a main housing part and opposite housing end parts. The lid spans between said housing end parts across the main housing part, and the lid is pivotally connected to at least one of the housing end parts. The pivotal lid need not be taken fully off the canister when access is needed to the main housing part, e.g. to inspect the drain(s) or wipe up water inside the canister.
Sunshade system and method of manufacturing
A sunshade system for a vehicle, comprises a sunscreen having at least a main part and two opposed, laterally placed, inwardly folded parts. The sunscreen includes an intermediate part extending in between the main part and the inwardly folded parts each connected to the intermediate part by means of a fold. Two opposed longitudinal guides retain the adjacent inwardly folded part and at least a part of the corresponding intermediate part of the flexible sunscreen. The guides engage the inwardly folded part. Each intermediate part includes a first compressed part extending in longitudinal direction and comprising at least material of the main part. The first compressed part is established under the influence of a compression treatment such that said material in the first compressed part has a thickness smaller than the thickness of the same material in the main part.
Drive system
A drive system for operation of a roll top cover for covering a cargo bed of a vehicle enables improved and smoother roll top cover movement. The drive system includes: an elongate housing that defines a longitudinal axis and first and second ends, the housing including an axially extending aperture for receiving the roll top cover therethrough; first and second receiving plates disposed transversely within the housing at the respective first and second ends thereof, the receiving plates comprising opposed spiral-shaped slots extending therethrough, each of the spiral-shaped slots having an open end proximally and a closed end distally; and a drive shaft assembly disposed within the housing and extending axially between the first and second ends thereof; wherein the drive shaft assembly is adapted for being operably connected to a drive chain and driving movement thereof within the spiral-shaped slots during operation of the roll top cover.
Rollo assembly and open roof construction provided therewith
A rollo assembly for use in a vehicle with an opening, includes a shaft, a screen wound on/off said shaft where a forward end is provided with a beam and opposite channels guide edges of the screen and ends of the beam. Drive cables are provided with connecting members for drivingly engaging respective counter connecting members provided at ends of the beam. The shaft, beam and screen are combined into a detachable unit which, when the screen is substantially fully wound onto the shaft and the cables assume a position in which the connecting members at least partially protrude from a longitudinal end of the channels, can be moved relative to said channels for connecting or disconnecting the counter connecting members to or from the connecting members. A support maintains the connecting members of the cables, when maximally protruding from said longitudinal end of the channels, in a well-defined position.
Lid arrangement for a canister for a rollup truck bed cover
A lid arrangement for a canister for a rollup truck bed cover comprises a lid and a canister. The canister has a main housing part and opposite housing end parts. The lid spans between said housing end parts across the main housing part, and the lid is pivotally connected to at least one of the housing end parts. The pivotal lid need not be taken fully off the canister when access is needed to the main housing part, e.g. to inspect the drain(s) or wipe up water inside the canister.
Tonneau cover system with insert for supporting cross-bow members
A frame rail assembly for supporting a tonneau cover comprising: opposing frame rails locatable on a cargo area of a vehicle, each of the opposing frame rails having one or more slots formed therein; and one or more inserts that fit within the one or more slots respectively; wherein the one or more inserts are shaped to fit substantially flush with a transverse cross-sectional profile of the opposing frame rails.
SUNSHADE ASSEMBLY
A sunshade assembly comprises a first and second movable sunshades and a drive assembly. The drive assembly comprises a first slider coupled to a first drive member through a first coupling and connected to the first sunshade, and a second slider attached to a second drive member and connected to the second sunshade. The first coupling can be uncoupled to drive the second slider while not driving the first slider. The first coupling includes a coupling member to couple and uncouple the coupling member from a counter member on the first slider by a movement of the coupling member. The coupling member of the first drive member arrives in a guide when the coupling member must be uncoupled from the counter member and is shaped to cause the movement of the coupling member when the first and second drive members move further to open or close the second sunshade.
RETRACTABLE OVERHEAD SHADE
A retractable overhead assembly for a vehicle having a retractable cover under tension and an integrated stiffening rod that includes attachment features to selectively connect to a windshield area. The retractable system is self contained within an extrusion keeping the overall package size small and the installation/removal simple. The retractable cover creates a sun shade over the vehicle front cockpit and/or rear passenger area when deployed, and is retractable to a stowed position. The retractable overhead assembly is installable under any hard or soft top assembly configuration, and does not impede use or operation of the hard top or soft top assembly.
Retractable aerodynamic panel
A retractable aerodynamic panel for an automotive truck cargo bed comprises a first support rail adapted to be mounted onto a top edge of a first side wall of an automotive truck bed and a second support rail adapted to be mounted onto a top edge of a second side wall of an automotive truck cargo bed, a panel adapted to be mounted onto a tailgate of the automotive truck cargo bed, the panel adapted to extend between a retracted position, wherein the automotive truck cargo bed is substantially open, and a deployed position, wherein the panel extends outward from the tailgate across a portion of the automotive truck cargo bed between the top edges of the first and second side walls, the panel supported between side walls within the support rails, and an actuator adapted to selectively extend the panel between the retracted and deployed positions.
Retractable overhead shade
A retractable overhead assembly for a vehicle having a retractable cover (912) under tension and an integrated stiffening rod that includes attachment features (916) to selectively connect to a windshield area.
