The present invention relates to a retractable cover made up of highly flexible material enabled to slide over the plurality of the rods which further is made up of plurality of small sections to make the entire structure of the retractable cover sliding over the easily bendable and flexible plurality of the rods flexible in nature and easy carriable to any distance without occupying much space. The invention support the text for the retractable cover to be easily fitted over any shape or size of the utility trailer without having a concern of length and width of the utility trailer and also without having a concern of plurality of the brackets arrangement structure pattern over the wheeled flat-bed.

An open-air car canopy and cover assembly and method of operation provides a rearwardly extending canopy that shields an uncovered rear deck of an open-air car from a deployed position, and when in an undeployed position, the panels retract, becoming limp and folding upon themselves. An upper pocket covers the panel folds in the undeployed position by encapsulating the panels and the rotatable supporting bracket. Lateral and rear flaps having fasteners and rear flap fasteners retain the panels out of the rear sight line and the side openings of the open-air car. A roof mount detachably attaches the canopy to the roof of the open-air car with a curved flange that hooks over a roof support structure, and metallic tensioned hooks that hook under the roof support structure. A tensioned hinge member is operable with rotatable supporting bracket to retain canopy in a fixed position between deployed and undeployed positions.

A portable, light weight sun and rain shield for golfers that fits in the umbrella pocket of a golf bag and is positioned on top of a golf cart which when opened extends beyond the width of the golf cart roof to protect the golfer from sun and rain. A nylon or fabric cover provides a shield extending from approximately 2 to 10 feet on each side of the golf cart's roof. A device that is easily opened and closed.

Elements of drop-stitch material are formed into different structures. In a platform, two legs support a horizontal platform. All are of drop-stitch material, which can be inflated to sufficient pressure for it to be rigid. Valves between the legs and platform allow air to flow between the legs and the platform. Another design is a luggage or cargo carrier for vehicles with a base, top and front walls formed of interconnected drop-stitch material. When the drop-stitch material is inflated, the material forms a cavity which receives luggage or other items. Sidewalls create an enclosed space, elements of the drop-stitch material can form other structures such as a truck shell with openings through the material to acts as windows or a door.

Presented are expandable compartment cover assemblies for motor vehicles, methods for making and methods for using such cover assemblies, and motor vehicles with expandable tonneau cover assemblies. Presented, for example, is an expandable cover assembly for a motor vehicle with a cargo compartment. The expandable cover assembly includes a frame section that releasably attaches to the vehicle body, and extends across some or all of the cargo compartment. The frame section has a central aperture that extends therethrough. A canopy is seated within this central aperture and at least partially surrounded by the frame section. A flexible joint attaches the canopy to the frame section such that the canopy selectively transitions between a collapsed state, whereat the canopy is a first height from the compartment floor of the cargo compartment, and an expanded state, whereat the canopy is a second height, greater than the first height, from the compartment floor.

A threaded rod can be pivotably coupled to the tonneau cover via a proximal end. A housing can have first and second housing portions slidably coupled to the threaded rod and moveable along the threaded rod relative to each other between locked and unlocked positions. The second housing portion can include a channel positioned to receive a downwardly disposed distal edge of an inboard flange. Locking pawls within the housing can move to engage threads of the rod to prevent movement of the channel relative to the elongate member when in the locked position. The locking pawls can move to release the threads of the rod to allow movement of the channel relative to the rod when in the unlocked position. A biasing member can apply a biasing force biasing the housing toward the proximal end of the elongate member and biasing the housing toward the locked position.

A tonneau cover and a method of attachment are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a self-energizing clamp can be used to retain a tonneau cover onto a side wall of a truck bed, or other vehicle bed. In some embodiments, the clamp can be rotated between a usage position and a storage position in order to prevent the clamp from incidental movement or harm while accessing the truck bed.

A foldable, aerodynamic cover assembly for pickup truck beds which is user switchable between a closed aerodynamic configuration and a folded open configuration which allows the user access to the pickup truck bed. The aerodynamic configuration reduces vehicle wind resistance and drag, which increases fuel efficiency. The foldable, aerodynamic cover is comprised of a rigid folding frame with an outer cover. The outer cover is disposed over the frame and detachably connected to the base portion of said frame.

A cover for a truck bed that can be horizontally traversed between expanded and collapsed positions is shown. Since the cover is horizontally traversed, the person manipulating the cover need not lift the cover vertically in order to reconfigure the cover between the expanded and collapsed positions. Women and elderly people who are generally not as strong as men can manipulate the cover.
