APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING A TARP OVER A CARGO ON A TRUCK LOAD BED
A tarp distributing apparatus includes a tarp guide device held in an immobile condition adjacent to and extending upright to above a rear location on a truck load bed so as to establish the height to which a tarp can be moved to above and over the rear of a cargo on the truck load bed, a tarp draught device mounted in a mobile condition adjacent to and extending upright to above the truck load bed forwardly of the tarp guide device so as to undergo movement relative thereto and along the truck load bed for engaging and pulling the tarp relative to the tarp guide device forwardly over the cargo, and an actuation mechanism configured to manipulate and move the tarp draught device relative to the tarp guide device and the cargo so as to accomplish distributing the tarp over at least a portion of the cargo.
Tonneau cover internal frame mounting system
A tonneau cover system for a pickup truck cargo bed includes two longitudinal side rails attached to at least one fore and aft cross rail. Located at the outer edges of the cross rails are a series of individual holes having interconnection to an integrated slot used in the lateral adjustment of an adjustable clamp assembly. A series of clamp assembly are used to secure a tonneau cover system to the top wall surfaces of a pickup truck cargo bed.
TONNEAU COVER AND METHOD OF ATTACHMENT
A tonneau cover and a method of attachment are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a self-energizing clamp can be used to retain a tonneau cover onto a side wall of a truck bed, or other vehicle bed. In some embodiments, the clamp can be rotated between a usage position and a storage position in order to prevent the clamp from incidental movement or harm while accessing the truck bed.
Tonneau cover system with tension adjustment
A pair of tension adjustment blocks can include one or more positioning members receivable in the tension adjustment block mounting aperture to define a selected one of a plurality of distances from the aperture to a corresponding end of the tension adjustment block. When the tension adjustment blocks are selectively arranged in one of a plurality of orientations with one of the positioning members inserted into the tension adjustment block mounting aperture of each of the side rails to define a selected distance, the corresponding end of each tension adjustment block retains a header at a selected fore/aft position related to the selected distance that is different from the other adjustment tension adjustment block orientations and related distances.
Tarpaulin protection devices
A flutter reducer for protecting at least partially a tarpaulin defining a tarpaulin rear end edge from flutter induced damages when the tarpaulin is secured laterally across a container moved at speed, the container defining a container aperture delimited by an aperture peripheral edge. The flutter reducer is operatively coupled to the tarpaulin so that when the tarpaulin is extended across the container aperture configuration and the container is moved by the vehicle, the flutter reducer limits movements of the tarpaulin at its tarpaulin rear end edge to reduce flutter due to relative wind caused by movement through air of the container.
TONNEAU COVER SYSTEM AND SIDE LOCK CLAMP
A clamp to secure a tonneau cover to a frame of a cargo box includes a first clamp member coupled that has a first clamping surface. A second clamp member that has a second clamping surface. A ramp mechanism that causes lateral translation of the second clamping surface toward the first clamping surface, as the clamp moves between clamped and unclamped positions. A cam lock member positioned to engage with the second clamp member and includes a lever for placing the cam lock member in locked or unlocked states. When the cam lock member moves from the unlocked state to the locked state, the second clamp member moves toward the tonneau cover to the clamped position. When the cam lock member moves from the locked state to the unlocked state, the second clamp member moves away from the tonneau cover to the unclamped position.
Modular and collapsible vehicle frame for attaching to a vehicle body
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a modular vehicle roof frame with at least two support members having at an upper end at least one coupling member through which the support member is axially assembled and releasably coupled to a plurality of top frame members such that each top frame member is releasably coupled to a plurality of support members. In an illustrative example, when the frame is assembled the support members may be substantially vertical and the top frame members may be substantially horizontal. When the frame is coupled to a vehicle the coupling members may, for example, be oriented substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The frame may be assembled, for example, by alternately assembling top frame members and support members. Various embodiments may advantageously allow a disassembled frame to be stored within a small sized container suitable for various ground shipping services.
TONNEAU COVER AND ADJUSTABLE FRAME FOR A PICKUP TRUCK
A tonneau cover frame for use with a bed of a pickup truck. The frame including a plurality of side rails, a plurality of end rails and a plurality of cross rails. The side rails being configured for extending along sides of the bed of the pickup truck, the end rails extending between the side rails adjacent to front and rear ends of the frame, and the cross rails extending between the side rails at a location between the front and rear ends of the frame. The plurality of end rails and the plurality of cross rails each having an adjustable length, whereby the frame is adjustable in width for use in connection with differently sized beds of different pickup trucks.
