Tonneau System With Stretchable Cover
A tonneau system for a cargo compartment of a vehicle comprises a tonneau frame assembly and a tonneau cover removably connected to the tonneau frame assembly. The tonneau cover comprises an elastic material that allows it to stretch over cargo loaded into the cargo compartment. The tonneau cover exerts a compressive force on the cargo to hold the cargo in place while the vehicle is in motion.
Tonneau cover access panel
A tonneau cover access panel assembly connectable to a vehicle that eliminates the need for side rails to both locate and tension a tonneau cover. The assembly also reduces weight and complexity. The assembly incorporates a readily accessible rear latching system that reduces or eliminates interference with the tonneau cover during operation. The assembly also incorporates a tonneau cover tensioning system. The tension seals out environmental elements and holds the tonneau cover and locating bows in place. The assembly holds the tonneau in the closed tension state keeping the tonneau cover secured and tight until the cover is opened by an operator. The assembly is movable between a closed position and a fully open/stowable position and any intermediate positions. The assembly is also movable between at least a first open position and the deployed position for more limiting access to the cargo bed of the vehicle when desired.
TONNEAU COVER AND METHOD OF ATTACHMENT
A tonneau cover and a method of attachment are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a self-energizing clamp can be used to retain a tonneau cover onto a side wall of a truck bed, or other vehicle bed. In some embodiments, the clamp can be rotated between a usage position and a storage position in order to prevent the clamp from incidental movement or harm while accessing the truck bed.
POP-UP SHELTER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLES
An apparatus and method for implementing a vehicle sun and rain shield that converts to a pop-up sheltered compartment. The apparatus semi-permanently attaches to the roof of any vehicle. The device is easy to install and does not interfere with the parking and storage profile of the vehicle. The device is sized to fit within the perimeter of any vehicle roof when deployed. The device is easily opened and closed to provide added sun and rain protection. The device has moveable panels that extend beyond the vehicle roof to provide sun and rain protection. The moveable panels deflect in response to contact. The moveable panels also lock in a position perpendicular with the plane of the roof to provide the pop-up sheltered compartment. The sheltered compartment is useful for storing items or providing temporary shelter for users.
Retractable vehicle interior protection apparatus
An apparatus comprising a retractable shade constructed of waterproof material that may be spring-loaded and stored inside a housing. The housing may comprise straps or other coupling means to selectively couple the apparatus to a roll bar of an open-top vehicle. For example, the housing may attach via hook-and-loop straps to a center bar of an open-top vehicle, for example a Jeep. An exterior of the apparatus may incorporate hooks and a pull handle. The hooks may connect into one or more connectors on an upper portion of the open-top vehicle. The pull handle may be utilized to pull the shade from the housing, and engage the hooks to the one or more connectors.
Retractable canopy assembly
A retractable canopy assembly includes a retractable canopy frame having a first bow, a second bow, and a pair of connecting segments. The first bow, second bow, and connecting segments may be coupled with a fixed frame. In a first, open position of the retractable canopy frame, a canopy carried by the retractable canopy frame covers and protects contents within a transport apparatus to which the retractable canopy frame is coupled. In a second, closed position of the retractable canopy frame, the first bow, second bow, and pair of connecting segments generally align with respective portions of the fixed frame.
Tonneau with integrated toolbox
A tonneau for use with a pick-up truck bed includes a frame for attachment over the truck bed and a cover configured on top of the frame to protect the contents of the bed. The tonneau further includes a slidable toolbox having a hinged lid that is configured at the rear of the pick-up truck bed for enabling easy access.
METHOD OF ENHANCING RAIN AND SUN PROTECTION USING A RAIN AND SUN SHIELD FOR GOLF CARTS
A method for enhancing the rain and sun protection of a golf cart roof using a rain and sun shield device. The rain and sun shield for a covered golf cart is semi-permanently attached to the roof of a golf cart. The device is easy to install; will retrofit to any standard golf cart roof; does not interfere with the parking and storing profile (i.e. are sized to fit within the perimeter of any standard golf cart roof when in the closed position) of a fleet of golf carts. The device is easily opened and closed to provide the golf cart user with added sun and rain protection when in use.
Flexible tarpaulin support device
A tarpaulin support device for an open top of a trailer or vehicle. The device has a flexible and resilient tube assembly bowed from a normally straight position under tension to an arched position outwardly from the trailer or vehicle. The tube assembly may be removably mounted to the side walls of the trailer or vehicle via brackets with angled bores therethrough. The tube assembly comprises an outer tube and an inner tube located substantially within an outer tube. The inner tube may have a slot running along at least part of its length, such that the portion of the inner tube with the slot has a C-shaped cross-section.
