Vehicle Roof Base Frame
A vehicle roof base frame is provided, which can be placed on top of an edge area of a vehicle roof structure delimiting a roof opening, having two longitudinal legs and a transverse leg connecting the two longitudinal legs to each other, the legs being realized as separate parts. A seal is arranged between each of the longitudinal legs and the transverse leg when in an assembly position in which the legs are firmly connected to each other.
VEHICLE ROOF HAVING AN OPENABLE FOLDING ROOF WITH A TENSIONING CABLE SYSTEM
A vehicle roof including an openable folding roof and a tensioning cable which tensions the folding roof in the closed state. One front end of the cable is fixedly anchored to a front roof part of the folding roof and at the rear end is held on a rear roof component which is fixed to the vehicle. The tensioning cable is length-adjustable for adjusting the cable tension via a tensioning cable system. The tensioning cable system comprises a latching base fixedly anchored to the rear roof component, a latching element attached to the rear end of the tensioning cable, and a latching mechanism which is adjustable in multiple stages and disposed between the latching base and the latching element for adjusting the longitudinal position of latching element relative to the latching base only in the longitudinal direction. The latching element in the adjusted position is held so as to be latched in a form-fitting manner to the latching base.
Soft front cockpit cover
A foldable roof assembly having a soft panel top assembly for a vehicle in sealing engagement with a hard top portion of a roof. The soft panel top assembly has a fixed portion attached to the vehicle and a lightweight pivotal portion that folds back to provide the occupant a quick and easy open air effect. Two door rails of the soft panel top assembly are connected to the vehicle. Two side bows are attached to a first bow member, which is secured to a windshield frame when in a closed position, and are connected at a pivot point created with a bracket attached to the door rails to allow the pivotal portion to pivot to an open position. The soft panel top assembly includes a rear header that is a wireframe and engages with seals in the hard top roof portion to provide a weatherproof seal.
Flexible tonneau cover assembly
A flexible tonneau cover assembly includes a pair of side rails positioned on side walls of a cargo box of a motor vehicle, two sliding elements slidably received in the side rails, spring blocks inserted within each side rail, and a spring located between the sliding element and the spring block in each side rail. The flexible tonneau cover assembly also includes a front rail including a first end having an opening for receiving a projection of the first sliding element, and a second end having a latch receivable by the latch receptacle of the second sliding element. A tonneau cover is attached to the front rail and extends to cover the cargo box of the vehicle, which is tensioned by the springs.
REMOVABLE DOOR SURROUND FOR A FOLDING SOFT TOP
A door rail surround assembly incorporating an anti-rotation feature added to a door rail clamp of the assembly. The anti-rotation feature is a net fit cross vehicle with a hole in the vehicle sport bar thereby eliminating any free movement of the door rail clamp assembly. A second clamp is rotatable for also receiving a fastener of the door rail clamp. A clamp load is applied to the vehicle when the fastener is inserted and torqued to its predetermined value. This clamping load prevents any free movement in the door rail clamp assembly when the door seal load is applied when the vehicle door is closed.
MULTI CONFIGURABLE HALF TOP ASSEMBLY
A top for a Jeep type vehicle is provided having a rear cargo area and parallel spaced roll bars. The top includes parallel spaced apart C pillars, each C pillar including front and rear vertical columns, the rear columns having a perpendicularly connected seat belt pass-through. The C pillars also have bottom plates connecting the front and rear columns that extend beyond the rear column. A top plate connects the front and rear columns together. The C pillars include pivotally connected sealing plates for sealing a top end of a rear door, the sealing plates being connected to the roll bars. A vertical rear window extending between said C pillar rear columns is provided, the rear window having a cutout portion for allowance of passage of a seat belt therethrough. A fabric cover providing a top deck extends over said front and rear seating portion of said vehicle and also covers the C pillars. A tonneau cover is provided for covering the rear cargo area providing a flat surface enclosure over the cargo area.
Vehicle comprising cover for roof opening
A motor vehicle is proposed, comprising a vehicle roof having a roof opening, which is circumferentially limited by a sealing strip or sealing rail, which limits a channel at a side facing toward the roof opening. The roof opening is provided with a cover, which comprises a roof tarp, which has a tensioning rope at its edge for tensioning the roof tarp at the sealing strip, the roof tarp at least partially covering the roof opening.
Convertible sliding top
