A roof assembly includes a vehicle body defining an opening and having a track extending along the opening. The track is elongated along a track axis. The roof assembly includes a panel removably disposed in the opening, a latch attached to the panel and releasably engageable with the vehicle body, and a block attached to the panel and removably engageable with the track. The block is rotatable relative to the panel about a block axis perpendicular to the track axis.

An apparatus for covering at least a portion of an open bed of a vehicle includes a pair of support frames, where opposing ends of the support frames are removably mounted to opposing edges of the vehicle bed, and a rigid cover panel that is mounted between the support frames to cover the bed. A slot is formed in each support frame that extends along the length of each support frame. The rigid cover panel has edges that may removably slide into the slots of the support frames. The cover panel is held in place by inserting opposite edges into the slots of the support frames and then removably fixing the support frames at a selected location to the vehicle.

The rear frame includes an integral panel (76) which forms a rear window of the vehicle when the rear frame is mounted on the vehicle. The roof system includes a hood (34) for covering the cabin in the closed state; wherein the rear frame (60) provides a support for the hood (34) which spans the rear frame (60) when the hood (34) covers the cabin.

Thermoplastic hardtop roof

The present invention is directed to a hardtop for a vehicle that has an exterior thermoplastic roof panel and sides. The hardtop includes a top frame formed of at least two longitudinal sides and at least one cross vehicle piece formed from fiber reinforced polymer. Connected to the top frame is at least one roof panel forming an outer surface of the hardtop. There are also one or more side frames each having a side panel connected thereto. The roof panel and side panel are all formed of thermoplastic, so it is possible to have a Class A finish paint surface or mold in color finish.

Hard top roof removal assist

A hard top removal assist system for a vehicle. The system includes a vehicle body having a plurality of rails mounted to the vehicle body. A hard top has a connection that is used to connect the hard top to the plurality of rails. There is at least one connection on the hard top that is slidable in the one or more rails between an installed position and a removed position. The hard top can be fully removed from the vehicle body and the one or more rails.
