Stacking rigid cover

A retractable cover system includes laterally spaced apart guide rails that each provide a track on either side of an opening. The retractable cover system further includes a cover that has multiple slats that are configured to interlock with one another in a deployed configuration. The slats are slidable in the tracks between first and second positions within the opening. The slats are stacked onto one another in a stowed configuration. The slats include laterally extending profiles that are complementary to one another and are configured to interlock with one another in a deployed configuration. The complementary profiles are configured to decouple from one another in the stowed configuration.

A tonneau system for use with a pickup truck. The tonneau system includes a frame and a tonneau cover having a plurality of tonneau sections moveable between an extended position covering a cargo box of the pickup truck and a folded position forming a stack of the tonneau sections. The stack being coupled to the frame and pivotally moveable between a first position depending into the cargo box and a second position extending upward generally from the cargo box.

Tonneau cover with prop rod assembly

A pickup truck that includes a cab section located in front of a bed section is provided. The pickup truck comprises a tonneau cover that covers the bed section. The tonneau cover includes a plurality of panel sections; and wherein each of the plurality of panel sections is movable with respect to each other to allow access to, or conceal the bed section underneath. At least one prop rod assembly includes a longitudinally extending first rod having a first end and a second end. The first end of the longitudinally extending first rod is pivotably and removably coupled to a side rail that is secured to the first side of the bed section, and the second end of the longitudinally extending first rod is located opposite the first end and pivotably coupled to the first latch assembly of the third panel section.

Locking structure of vehicle cover

A locking structure of a vehicle cover includes a vehicle cover, at least two mounting rods, a depressor and a torsion spring. The mounting rods are arranged in parallel. The vehicle cover is laid on the mounting rods. The depressor is rotatably mounted on the mounting rods through the torsion spring, and cooperates with the mounting rods to clamp the vehicle cover. The depressor is installed on the mounting rods through the spring, and the cover is clamped between the rod and the depressor by the depressor, so that the spring always has a tendency to drive the depressor to clamp the rod, and the cover is pressed against the rods, which means the cover is fixed on the rods, so that a connection between the cover and the rods is more stable and it is not easy for the cover to shake off from the rods.

An embodiment provides a truck cover system that includes a side rail, a cover, and a latching mechanism. The latching mechanisms include a housing attached to the cover, a latch extending through a first end of the housing and configured to engage with a bottom portion of the side rail, a cap attached to a second end of the housing, a plunger attached to the latch and having a first plunger end partially extending through an opening of the cap, an anchor element attached to the first plunger end preventing the first plunger end from entering the housing, and a spring wrapped around the plunger. When the spring is compressed, the latch may disengage with the side rail, and, when the spring is uncompressed, the latch may engage with the side rail.

Truck bed cover locking device, truck bed and truck

The truck bed cover locking device includes a side rail, a latch structure and a latch locking component. The latch structure is detachably mounted on the side rail. The latch structure includes a limiting surface. The latch locking component is provided on a truck bed cover. The latch locking component includes a plunger capable of at least partially moving to a position below the limiting surface. The limiting surface extends toward the plunger, and an extending length of the limiting surface is not less than the length of the plunger moving to a position below the limiting surface. The latch structure is detachably provided on the side rail, and fits with the latch locking component on the truck bed cover, thereby tightly locking the truck bed cover on the side rail, and protecting the side rail from damage.

INTEGRATED VEHICLE COVER

A method of operating a tonneau cover and a tailgate of a vehicle, including: transmitting one or more signals to a first control module to open or lower the tailgate; determining a position of the tonneau cover with the first control module or a second control module and transmitting by the first control module and/or the second control module one or more signals to a mechanism associated with the tonneau cover to open the tonneau cover if the tonneau cover is determined by the first control module and/or the second control module to be in a closed position; and then lowering the tailgate.

LATCH ASSEMBLIES AND RAIL ATTACHMENT FOR A PICKUP TRUCK TONNEAU COVER

A tonneau system for use with a bed of a pickup truck. The tonneau system includes a tonneau cover and latch assemblies to retain the tonneau cover to the bed of the truck. The cover is moveable between an unfolded positon where the cover encloses the bed and a folded position where the bed is uncovered. The latch assemblies can include latch bases that define discreet mounting positons for a latch handle assembly that employ retention members to retain the latch handle assembly in a particular mounting positon. Another latch assembly includes a latch base having an endless belt to positon the latch handle assembly. A rail attachment is also provided to mount to the bed and provide an anchor point for keep in to tonneau cover engage over the bed.
