A spacer for a foreign object detection sensor including an elongated hollow sheath, two conductive members, and two core wires buried in the two conductive members, the spacer being used for a terminal portion of the foreign object detection sensor and including a first member including an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a space between the two conductive members, and a concave-shaped second member including a first end portion and a second end portion, the first end portion at which a locking portion is provided to be locked to a first end of the first member, the second end portion which is opposed to the locking portion and is connected to a second end of the first member via an integral hinge, the second member containing one of the two conductor portions inside a closed cross-section formed between the first member and the second member.
Vehicle light system
A vehicle light system is provided herein. The vehicle light system includes a seal including an engagement member having first and second portions defining a channel and a cavity. The cavity is separated from the channel by the first portion. The first and second portions have varied opacities. A light guide is disposed within the cavity. A light source is operably coupled with the light guide.
Touch sensor unit
A touch sensor unit includes a pressure-sensitive sensor and a support that supports the pressure-sensitive sensor. The support includes a first portion that is folded and overlapped with a second portion of the support to at least partially enclosed and support the sensor. One of the first portion and the second portion includes a groove, and the other of the first portion and the second portion includes a projection that projects toward the groove. The projection is fitted into the groove.

A window weather strip arrangement for covering at least sections of a window well of a motor vehicle includes a window weather strip carrier which can be secured on a vehicle skin and has a reinforcing core and a carrier sleeve accommodating the reinforcing core. The window weather strip arrangement further includes a window weather strip secured to the window weather strip carrier. The window weather strip carrier has a vehicle skin receiving portion for receiving sections of the vehicle skin and the window weather strip is secured to the window weather strip carrier on a side of the window weather strip carrier facing away from the vehicle skin receiving portion. A lamp is arranged in a lamp-receiving opening of the window weather strip and the reinforcing core protrudes out of the carrier sleeve overlapping with at least sections of the lamp-receiving opening, such that at least sections of the reinforcing core function as a reflector for the lamp.

A device for the detection of an entrapment situation by a means of transport includes: a flexible element that encompasses a hollow space; an ultrasonic transmitter that is arranged at or inside the hollow space, the ultrasonic transmitter being set up to emit ultrasound into the hollow space; a reflector that is arranged at or inside the hollow space, the reflector being set up to reflect ultrasound; an ultrasonic detector that is arranged at or inside the hollow space, the ultrasonic detector being set up to detect the ultrasound emitted by the ultrasonic transmitter and reflected in the device, and to generate a detection signal; and a processor module that is set up to determine, based on the detection signal of the ultrasonic detector, whether there is a deformation of the flexible element which indicates that the flexible element entraps an object which is causing the deformation.

Illuminated bulb seal
A system according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a seal having a compressible bulb to provide sealing between a vehicle flange and a moveable panel, and a channel formed in an exterior surface of the bulb. A light source is positioned within the channel to extend along a length of the seal. A method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, forming a seal to have a compressible bulb that has a channel formed in an exterior surface of the bulb, and installing a light cable within the channel to extend along a length of the seal.
