TRACTION BATTERY ASSEMBLY HAVING BATTERY PACK MODULE AND SENSE LEAD HEADER AND CONNECTING METHOD
A traction battery assembly includes, among other things, an array sense lead header of a battery array, a plurality of sense leads extending from the array sense lead header to areas of the battery array, and a battery pack module having a module connector. The battery pack module is configured to move relative to the battery array from a disengaged position where the module connector the array sense lead header are disengaged to an engaged position where the module connector and the array sense lead header are engaged.
THERMAL INTERFACE MATERIAL POSITIONING WITHIN A TRACTION BATTERY PACK
A traction battery assembly according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a thermal exchange plate having a plurality of coolant channels distributed within the thermal exchange plate according to a first pattern, and a thermal interface material disposed on a surface of the thermal exchange plate according to a second pattern. The first pattern mimics the second pattern.
THREE DIMENSIONAL BACKUP STRUCTURE JOINT SYSTEM FOR BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLES
A structural assembly for use in an electric vehicle having a lower body frame and a battery pack secured within the lower body frame. The structural assembly includes a subframe rear mount, a battery cage longitudinal member, a rocker, a hinge pillar, and a rail torque unit. The battery cage longitudinal member is secured to the subframe rear mount. The rocker extends along and is secured to the battery cage longitudinal member. The hinge pillar includes a lower portion that is secured to the rocker. The rail torque includes an s-brace and an inner rail. The s-brace is secured to the hinge pillar at one end and to the inner rail at another end. The inner rail is secured to the hinge pillar at one end and is configured to extend around a wheel of the electric vehicle and form a portion of a wheel well.
Battery box with reinforcement element
A battery box for a motor vehicle for receiving battery cells has a structural frame with at least two structural components joined to one another at the end face. Each structural component has at least one profile segment that is partially hollow and has a substantially L-shaped cross section. A reinforcement element for absorbing collision energy in the event of a collision is arranged within at least one of the profile segments. The reinforcement element is a molded part having a plurality of open cells, which are arranged adjacent to one another and with their longitudinal extent substantially parallel to one another. When the battery box is mounted in the motor vehicle, the open cells are oriented with their longitudinal extent substantially parallel to the transverse direction of the vehicle.
Vehicle frame structure
A vehicle frame structure includes a pair of rear side members extending along a length of a vehicle in a lower part of the vehicle, and a first cross member coupling the pair of rear side members. The first cross member includes an intermediate member and a pair of coupling members. The intermediate member extends along a width of the vehicle at a location further downward with respect to the rear side members and is located under a motor unit. The pair of coupling members respectively extend downward or diagonally downward from the respective side members toward the opposite ends of the intermediate member.
Reinforced carrier device for a battery pack and process for the assembling of a reinforced battery pack
A carrier device including a reinforcement arrangement (9) including: at least two adjacent reinforcement hollow portions (24, 25) both being traversed by the side wall (3) of the carrier device (2) and each made of an inner reinforcement hollow section (26, 27) of the inner reinforcement piece (14) and an outer reinforcement hollow (28, 29) section of the outer reinforcement piece (19), both reinforcement hollow sections being at least partially facing each other, and a longitudinal reinforcement fastening portion (30) located between the adjacent reinforcement hollow portions (24, 25), secured to the side wall (3), and made of an inner reinforcement fastening section (31) of the inner reinforcement piece (14) and an outer reinforcement fastening section (32) of the outer reinforcement piece (19), both reinforcement fastening sections (31, 32) being at least partially facing each other.
AN ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN AUTOMOBILE WITH A POWER PACK AND RETROFIT THEREOF
An electrically driven automobile with a power pack and retrofit thereof. An electric power pack in an electrically powered automobile is provided for retrofit where part of the batteries are substituted by a fuel cell system in order to extend the travelling range of the automobile.
VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
A floor panel comprises a first floor portion and a second floor portion which is located at a higher level than the first floor portion. In a vehicle-body structure, a connecting member which extends from a battery case to a second floor portion and connects the battery case and the second floor portion is provided.
VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
A vehicle-body structure of an electric automotive vehicle comprises floor-side cross members attached to a floor panel and extending in a vehicle width direction along the floor panel and battery-side cross members provided at a battery case and extending in the vehicle width direction. The floor-side cross members and the battery-side cross members are offset from each other in a vehicle longitudinal direction in a vehicle side view.
VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
A vehicle-body structure comprises right-and-left front side frames and right-and-left frame members respectively extending forward from a vehicle-front portion of a battery case below the right-and-left front side frames. Plural right-side connection portions to connect the right-side frame member to the right-side front side frame are provided to be spaced apart from each other in a vehicle longitudinal direction.
