An electric vehicle comprises: a main battery which is disposed under the floor of a vehicle interior; a front seat which is provided for a front part of the vehicle interior; a front housing chamber which is formed under a seating surface of the front seat; and an air-suspension device including an air spring which is made to expand and contract by air pressure, an air compressor which compresses air, and one or more first surge tanks which store high-pressure air or low-pressure air, in which the first surge tanks and the air compressor are disposed in a front housing chamber.
Drive unit and vehicle
A drive unit includes: a rotary electric machine; a rotary electric machine case accommodating the rotary electric machine; an electric power conversion device electrically connected to the rotary electric machine and configured to convert electric power supplied to the rotary electric machine and electric power supplied from the rotary electric machine; and an output shaft extending out from the rotary electric machine case and configured to output power of the rotary electric machine. The electric power conversion device is arranged on one side of the rotary electric machine. The output shaft is arranged between the rotary electric machine and the electric power conversion device.
Battery module, device, and failure handling method for failed battery cell
A battery module, a device, and a failure handling method for a failed battery cell. The battery module includes: a battery cell arrangement structure, including a plurality of battery cells arranged along a length direction, where the battery cells include electrode terminals, and the battery cells include a failed battery cell; a box body, having an accommodation cavity in which the battery cell arrangement structure is located; a mounting beam, located in the accommodation cavity and at an end of the battery cell arrangement structure along the width direction; a pressing plate; and a conductive component, connected to a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal of the failed battery cell. The conductive component is easily connected to electrode terminals of a failed battery cell, so that a maintenance process can be simplified and maintenance costs can be reduced.
Method and Electric Engine Block for Converting a Vehicle With an Internal Combustion Engine Into an Electric Vehicle
A method of converting a vehicle into an electric vehicle that includes detaching an internal combustion engine block from a frame of a vehicle to which a first wheel and a second wheel are attached and, after detaching the internal combustion engine block, attaching an electric engine block to the frame.
Battery pack having overlapping battery modules
A battery pack includes a first battery module, a first battery case accommodating the first battery module, a second battery module, and a second battery case placed on an upper side of the first battery case so as to overlap each other and accommodating the second battery module. The second battery module is fixed to a fastening portion formed on a bottom surface of the second battery case and bulging downward. A hole portion for accommodating the fastening portion is provided on an upper surface of the first battery case at a position overlapping the fastening portion when viewed from above.
Methods, systems and apparatus for powering a vehicle
This application is directed to an apparatus for providing electrical charge to a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a driven mass, a generator, a charger, a hardware controller, and a communication circuit. The driven mass rotates in response to a kinetic energy of the vehicle and is coupled to a shaft such that rotation of the driven mass causes the shaft to rotate. The driven mass exists in one of (1) an extended position and (2) a retracted position. The generator generates an electrical output based on a mechanical input coupled to the shaft such that rotation of the shaft causes the mechanical input to rotate. The charger is electrically coupled to the generator and: receives the electrical output, generates a charge output based on the electrical output, and conveys the charge output to the vehicle. The controller controls whether the driven mass is in the extended position or the retracted position in response to a signal received from the communication circuit.
Vehicle impact energy absorption system
An embodiment vehicle impact energy absorption system includes a dash panel, a pair of front side members extending toward a front of the dash panel, a front subframe disposed below the pair of front side members, and an electric motor mounted on the front subframe, wherein a front edge of the electric motor is pivotally connected to the front subframe, and a rear edge of the electric motor is pivotally connected to the dash panel.
Passive structural stopper bracket
A method and an apparatus, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a battery pack supported by at least one vehicle frame member, a side frame member positioned adjacent to an edge of the battery pack, and a cross-member extending away from the side frame member and above the battery pack. The cross-member is spaced from the battery pack by a gap. At least one bracket is mounted to at least one of the side frame member and cross-member within the gap such that in response to an impact load, the bracket prevents the cross-member from direct contact with the battery pack.
Battery housing for a traction battery
A battery housing for a traction battery may include a first housing part and a second housing part fixed removably to each other. Battery modules of the traction battery may be fixable on the first housing part. The housing may also include a reinforcing structure having a plurality of reinforcing ribs reinforcing the first housing part, and a ducted structure with a plurality of coolant ducts for a coolant fixed on the first housing part. The plurality of coolant ducts may each be connectable to a respective temperature-control unit of a battery module in a coolant-conducting fashion. At least one of the coolant ducts may be at least partially embedded in one of the reinforcing ribs.
Battery storage device for electric vehicle
A battery case of a battery storage device is disposed on a vehicle floor, thereby securing an interior space. A battery module of the battery storage device can be cooled by using an interior air, thereby simplifying a cooling structure and saving a manufacturing cost. In addition, the battery storage device for an electric vehicle blocks noise generated by a cooling device and an electrical component from flowing into the interior, thereby preventing the occurrence of a passenger's discomfort feeling caused by the noise.
