VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a dash cross member extending along a vehicle width direction, a front side member arranged in front of the dash cross member and joined to the dash cross member, a floor member arranged behind the dash cross member, and a brace joined to the dash cross member and joined to the floor member. A joint between the brace and the dash cross member overlaps a joint between the front side member and the dash cross member in the vehicle width direction. The brace includes an extending portion. The extending portion is joined to the floor member.
TRACTION BATTERY SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A traction battery system of a motor vehicle, including at least two battery modules which each include a plurality of batteries. The battery module includes a module housing including a housing case and at least one housing cover. The battery module includes a venting unit having a vent opening and having a bursting element. Gas can be discharged from the module housing via the vent opening. The traction battery system includes a first longitudinal support and a second longitudinal support between which the battery modules are disposed. The longitudinal support has a vent chamber which is configured to receive and pass the gas flowing via the venting unit. A cooling chamber, which extends along the vent chamber, is configured separately from the vent chamber for cooling the gas flowing in the longitudinal support.
SIDE SILL ASSEMBLY OF VEHICLE WITH REINFORCED STIFFNESS
A side sill assembly of the vehicle includes a side sill inner, a side sill outer, and a reinforcement unit provided between the side sill inner and the side sill outer, wherein the reinforcement unit may include a plurality of cell members having an upper member and a lower member bonded to each other vertically at intervals therebetween, and disposed in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle at intervals from each other therebetween; and a connector bonded to rear and front end portions of different cell members among the plurality of cell members to connect the plurality of cell members to each other in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
STRUCTURAL REFUSE VEHICLE BODY WITH UNDERMOUNTED BATTERIES
An electrified vehicle includes a front subframe, a rear subframe, and a body that connects the front subframe to the rear subframe so that forces acting on the front subframe and the rear subframe are transmitted through the body. The vehicle also includes a housing coupled to an underside of the body between the front subframe and the rear subframe. An energy storage system is enclosed in the housing and includes a battery and a battery interface configured to electrically couple the battery to at least one component of the electrified vehicle.
BATTERY PACK HOUSING INCLUDING LATERAL BASEPLATE, LONGITUDINAL BASEPLATE, AND BRACKET THAT TRANSFERS FRONT IMPACT LOADS FROM LATERAL BASEPLATE TO LONGITUDINAL BASEPLATE
A housing for a battery pack of a vehicle is described herein. The housing includes a lateral baseplate, a central longitudinal baseplate, and at least one bracket. The lateral baseplate is configured to extend in a lateral direction of the vehicle and attach to a front cradle of the vehicle rearward of left and right body mount seats on the front cradle. The central longitudinal baseplate is configured to extend in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and attach to the lateral baseplate. The at least one bracket is configured to connect the central longitudinal baseplate to the lateral baseplate and to form an angle with the lateral baseplate that is greater than 40 degrees.
Motor vehicle
A motor vehicle having a vehicle body an electrical traction machine, and at least one electrical energy accumulator designed as a traction battery for temporarily storing electrical energy for operating the traction machine. The vehicle body and/or a battery housing of the traction battery is/are provided at least in some regions within intumescent fire protection coating.
Vehicle equipped with high pressure gas container
A vehicle is provided with an interior chamber apart from a passenger compartment, and a container chamber in which a high pressure gas container is accommodated. A heat generating body is accommodated in the interior chamber. Further, in the vehicle, there are formed introduction ports through which atmospheric air is introduced into the interior chamber, a communication passage that enables communication between the interior chamber and the container chamber, and a lead-out port through which the atmospheric air is led out from the container chamber. The atmospheric air that is introduced into the interior chamber through the introduction ports flows into the container chamber via the communication passage, and furthermore, is led out to the exterior of the container chamber from the lead-out port.
Mounting structure for battery pack in vehicle
A battery pack installing a floor of a vehicle includes one or more battery cells, a battery pack case in which the one or more battery cells are disposed, and a cushioning member arranged to be sandwiched between the one or more battery cells and the floor or between the one or more battery cells and the battery pack case, by fixing the battery pack case to the floor. Then, the first cushioning member may be configured such that a first area farther from suspension mounts is configured to a first elastic modulus, and the second area closer to the suspension mounts than the first area is configured to a second elastic modulus lower than the first elastic modulus.
Electric concrete vehicle systems and methods
A concrete mixer vehicle includes a chassis, a tractive assembly coupled to the chassis and configured to propel the concrete mixer vehicle, a mixing drum rotatably coupled to the chassis, and an electromagnetic device configured to convert electrical energy to mechanical energy to drive the tractive assembly. In a first configuration, a first battery module is removably coupled to the chassis and configured to provide the electrical energy to the electromagnetic device, and in a second configuration, the first battery module is removed from the chassis and replaced with a second battery module, the second battery module removably coupled to the chassis and configured to provide the electrical energy to the electromagnetic device.
Vehicle battery assembly
A vehicle battery assembly having specialized fasteners that includes an integrated compression limiter. The compression limiter provides protection for the fastening joint of a cover and a tray of a housing for the battery assembly. The battery assembly may also include nut and bolt assembly which may be installed by a nut insertion tool. The nut insertion tool allows the nut and bolt assembly to be installed without damaging the tray or the cover.
