Vehicle battery tray having tub-based component

A battery tray for an electric vehicle includes a tub component that has a floor portion and a perimeter wall portion that integrally extends upward around a peripheral edge of the floor portion to border a battery containment area of the tub component. The tub component may include a plurality of cross member portions that integrally interconnect with the floor portion and the perimeter wall portion so as to span laterally across the battery containment area to divide the battery containment area into separate compartments. A support structure of the battery tray may have an elongated member coupled at an exterior side of each of opposing longitudinal sections of the perimeter wall portion of the tub component.

Electric motor vehicle battery support assembly

A battery unit which stores plural battery modules therein is attached to respective lower faces of a pair of floor frames at its both sides. The battery unit comprises an attaching bracket which protrudes substantially horizontally from the battery case and is positioned just below the lower face of the floor frame with a distance therebetween. A specified rigidity ratio is set for an attachment portion of the battery unit to the floor frame, and the attaching bracket is attached to the lower face of the floor frame via an intermediate part such that the above-described rigidity ratio is 0.1 or greater.

Vehicle equipped with battery pack

Provided is a vehicle equipped with a battery pack. A vehicle equipped with a battery pack includes a floor tunnel and a battery pack. The battery pack includes a first battery accessory, a second battery accessory, and an electrical wiring. The first battery accessory is arranged inside a front tunnel portion of the floor tunnel from below. The second battery accessory is arranged inside a rear tunnel portion of the floor tunnel from below. The electrical wiring extends in a front-rear direction of a vehicle body across right and left second floor cross members, and connects the first battery accessory and the second battery accessory.

LIGHTWEIGHT BATTERY BOX FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES

A battery box for an electric vehicle includes an Al casting that extends between and joins to a BIW or chassis rails of the electric vehicle. The Al casting includes a bottom wall, a side wall with a pair of rails that are securely attached to the BIW or chassis rails of the vehicle, and a plurality of cross members. The bottom wall, the side wall, and the plurality of cross members define a structural enclosure with a plurality of battery compartments and at least one crush zone, and the structural enclosure is load bearing member of the electric vehicle.

POWER STORAGE DEVICE

A power storage device is a power storage device provided on a lower surface of a floor panel of a vehicle, the power storage device including: a housing case; a power storage module housed in the housing case; and a cooler housed in the housing case to cool the power storage module, wherein the housing case includes a bottom plate, a refrigerant passage through which a refrigerant flows is formed in a portion of the housing case, the portion being located above the bottom plate, and the refrigerant passage is connected to the cooler.

Vehicle battery housing, vehicle battery pack and electric vehicle

A vehicle battery housing which enables an electric vehicle to have an increased battery on-board capacity. The vehicle battery housing is mounted on a vehicle having a ladder frame and includes a first battery accommodating portion arranged in a first space between two side rails constituting the ladder frame and a second battery accommodating portion greater in vehicle-widthwise dimension than the first battery accommodating portion and connected to the first battery accommodating portion to be located in a second space vehicle-heightwise below the first space.

Mobile omnidirectional device

A mobile omnidirectional device having a base support, four wheels pivotally connected to the base support, each wheel being driven by a drive motor, a controller for individually controlling each of the drive motors, and a power source for powering the controller and the drive motors. The device provides a zero inch turning radius and can be configured as a jib hoist or a rolling transportation cart.

Electric vehicle having low-voltage component in rear portion of vehicle body

An electric vehicle may include a body; a low-voltage component disposed in a rear portion of the body; and at least one coupling member securing the low-voltage component to a plurality of securing portions of the body. The plurality of securing portions may include at least one first securing portion located forward of the low-voltage component in a vehicle front-rear direction and at least one second securing portion located rearward of the low-voltage component in the vehicle front-rear direction. A center of the at least one first securing portion and a center of the at least one second securing portion are located at different positions from each other in a vehicle vertical direction.

Vehicle frame

A vehicle frame for a hybrid or electric vehicle includes a pair of longitudinally-extending side rails being positioned in spaced relation across a width direction of the vehicle frame to define a battery space therebetween. A side impact absorber is positioned on a first one of the pair of longitudinally-extending side rails. A first member of the side impact absorber is secured to an outboard sidewall of the first side rail to define a first impact energy-absorbing load path to the first side rail. The first member has a wave-form shape and extends laterally outward from the outboard sidewall to an outboard end of the side impact absorber. A second member of the side impact absorber is secured to the outboard sidewall of the first side rail, further from a height-wise center thereof, the second member defining a second impact energy-absorbing load path from the outboard end of the side impact absorber to the first side rail.
