An exemplary reinforcement method includes, among other things, resisting a load applied to a side of an electrified vehicle using a reinforcement bracket secured to an outboard portion of a heel kick. The heel kick extends horizontally between rockers of the electrified vehicle. The heel kick and the reinforcement bracket are horizontally overlapped with each other.

A system for installation of traction batteries for a vehicle having a chassis comprising at least one load-carrying frame member. A front bracket member and a rear bracket member are adapted to be secured to and project from the frame member of the vehicle for receiving a traction battery between the front bracket member and the rear bracket member. The system also comprises a first and a second slider adapted to be connected to a front and a rear side, respectively, of a traction battery. The sliders are adapted to be mated with the bracket members subsequently to the sliders having been connected to the traction battery, thereby enabling the traction battery by means of the connected sliders to be received by the bracket members and be moved towards the frame member of the vehicle.

A battery replacement station includes a drive device (battery replacement process unit) that performs a process of replacing a battery (first battery) with another battery (second battery), and a control device (controller) that controls the drive device. The drive device includes a raising/lowering unit (lift-up mechanism) that lifts up a vehicle body of an electrically powered vehicle, and a battery mounting table onto which a battery removed from a bottom portion of the electrically powered vehicle is to be withdrawn. The drive device also includes an operating table (angle adjustment mechanism) that adjusts a relative angle between the vehicle body in a state of being lifted up, and the battery mounting table, in a plan view as seen from above the electrically powered vehicle.

A battery replacement apparatus includes: a battery replacement station which has a first stop area and a second stop area and in which removal of a first battery from a vehicle body and attachment of a second battery to the vehicle body are to be performed; a removal device that is provided below the first stop area and removes the first battery from the vehicle body stopped in the first stop area; and an attachment device that is provided below the second stop area and attaches the second battery to the vehicle body stopped in the second stop area.

The battery pack includes an installation box provided with a plurality of cell channels; a cell module pluggably installed in the cell channel, where a cell quick-replacement connector is provided between the cell module and the cell channel; and a controller, where the controller is electrically connected to the cell module through the cell quick-replacement connector and controls an operation of the cell module. The present application provides the cell channel in the battery pack and provides the cell quick-replacement connector, so that the cell module can be quickly plugged and unplugged relative to the cell channel, realizing the quick replacement of the cell module and improving the replacing efficiency of the battery pack.
