At least a portion of a loading part for loading an object to be loaded is provided above a first direction-side portion of the travel part. In addition, at least a portion of a detachable batch storage part, which has an accommodation part capable of accommodating a detachable battery, is provided above a portion of the travel part on a side in a second direction reverse to the first direction. An opening is formed in an upper portion of the accommodation part. The opening is directed upward and the axial line of the accommodation part in the battery attachment/detachment direction inclines to be directed in the first direction or the second direction.
Method and device for replacement of a battery in a vehicle
Device for battery replacement in a vehicle with a storage space for a battery, which device includes a battery transporting device which is installed at least partly above ground and which is associated with a width direction and a horizontal depth direction which is perpendicular to the width direction, wherein the device is arranged to sense a position of the storage space. The transporting device includes a first pushing device and a second pushing device, which first pushing device displaces the second pushing device and which second pushing device supports the battery, the first pushing device is displaceable in the depth direction, and the second pushing device, in relation to the first pushing device, is both displaceable in the width direction and pivotable in relation to the supporting plane of the first pushing device. Also disclosed is a method for battery replacement using such a device.
Electric vehicle propulsion system and propulsion system operating method
Methods and systems for an electric vehicle (EV) propulsion are provided. A method for operating an EV propulsion system is provided, in one example, that includes, while a traction battery assembly generates electric power, initiating start-up of a hydrogen fuel cell assembly based on a first battery state of charge (SOC) threshold and a first hydrogen fuel storage threshold to transition into a hybrid mode of operation. In the propulsion system, the traction battery assembly includes one or more traction batteries that are electrically coupled to one or more hydrogen fuel cells in the hydrogen fuel cell assembly via a distribution assembly, where the distribution assembly is electrically coupled to a traction motor.
System and method for installation of traction batteries for a vehicle
A system for installation of traction batteries for a vehicle having a chassis comprising at least one load-carrying frame member. A front bracket member and a rear bracket member are adapted to be secured to and project from the frame member of the vehicle for receiving a traction battery between the front bracket member and the rear bracket member. The system also comprises a first and a second slider adapted to be connected to a front and a rear side, respectively, of a traction battery. The sliders are adapted to be mated with the bracket members subsequently to the sliders having been connected to the traction battery, thereby enabling the traction battery by means of the connected sliders to be received by the bracket members and be moved towards the frame member of the vehicle.
Electric refuse vehicle battery exchange and trailer
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a refuse container coupled to the chassis, a tractive assembly coupled to the chassis and configured to propel the refuse vehicle, and an electric energy system configured to provide electrical energy to drive the tractive assembly. In a first configuration, a first energy system is removably coupled to the chassis and configured to provide the electrical energy to the electric energy system and in a second configuration, the first energy system is removed from the chassis and replaced with a second energy system, the second energy system removably coupled to the chassis and configured to provide the electrical energy to the electric energy system.
Electric vehicle
An electric vehicle includes a body frame, a seat disposed on the body frame, a wheel attached to the body frame to be driven by an electric motor, a battery to supply electric power to the electric motor via an inverter and an electrical component, a plate member placed inside a covered space with a top being covered and on which the inverter and the electrical component are mounted, and a guide supported by the body frame to drawably guide the plate member from a position inside the covered space to a position outside the covered space.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE WITH ACCESSORY MODULE
A vehicle includes a chassis including a frame rail extending longitudinally, a tractive element coupled to the chassis, an electric motor coupled to the chassis, a shaft coupling the electric motor to the tractive element such that the electric motor is configured to drive the tractive element to propel the vehicle, the shaft extending longitudinally, and a water pump configured to provide a flow of water in response to receiving mechanical energy provided by the electric motor.
Vehicular accessory
An electrical vehicle including a vehicle body, a passenger compartment, a chassis supporting the passenger compartment, a plurality of wheels and at least one electrical motor for driving the wheels. A battery compartment of the vehicle is configured to removably mount therein a plurality of more than two rechargeable batteries which are movable into position in the battery compartment by a battery conveyor system which has a battery access opening through which batteries are installed or removed, one by one, to and from the battery compartment. In the battery compartment, a connection mechanism effects the needed mechanical and electrical connections. An overall control system controls the conveyor system and the connection mechanism to enable rapid replacement of the removable batteries, whereby an electrical vehicle can be instantly driven, even after its batteries have been discharged by a replacement of the discharged batteries and the installation of freshly charged batteries.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RAPID BATTERY EXCHANGE IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES
A system and method for the rapid exchange of batteries in an electric vehicle. The electric vehicle contains a removable battery housed in the vehicle's undercarriage. The electric vehicle moves through the exchange system either by propelling itself or by being propelled by the system. As the vehicle is propelled forward, the removable battery within the vehicle is unlocked from the vehicle and replaced with a charged battery. The charged battery forces the removable battery out of the rear of the vehicle as the vehicle moves forward through the exchange. The vehicle remains powered throughout the exchange process. Once the charged battery is aligned in position under the vehicle and connected to the vehicle through corresponding contacts, the charged battery is located into place in the vehicle's undercarriage and the vehicle is ready for additional driving.
Electric vehicle
An electric vehicle (10) includes a power battery module (20) detachably installed at a predetermined installation position of the electric vehicle (10); the power battery module (20) includes a housing (21), a plurality of battery cells installed in the housing (21), rolling wheels (22) and a handle (23) installed on the housing, and an electric power output port. A lifting device capable of releasably holding the power battery module (20) and lifting the power battery module (20) from a ground proximity position on or near the ground to the predetermined installation position is installed at the electric vehicle. As the electric vehicle (10) is provided with the lifting device, installation and removal of the power battery thereof can be accomplished without using other installation equipment. Furthermore, the detachable power battery module (20) can be moved by a user without excessive effort.
