Bi-directional rotation feed roller for tree processing devices
A bi-directional rotation feed roller for tree processing devices preferably includes a drive wheel, a drive disc, a plurality of reinforcement rings and a plurality of reinforcement plates. The drive wheel includes a drive cylinder and a plurality of media engagement thumb nails attached to the drive cylinder. The plurality of media engagement thumb nails are preferably arranged in a plurality of rows. A side wall of the plurality of media engagement thumb nails are preferably angularly offset from a lengthwise axis of the drive plate. The drive disc is attached to the drive wheel in substantially a middle of a with thereof. The plurality of reinforcement rings are attached to an inner perimeter of the drive wheel. The plurality of reinforcement plates are attached to an inside perimeter of the drive wheel between the drive disc and one end of the drive wheel.
ENVIRONMENTAL SCANNING AND TREE CUTTING GUIDANCE
Embodiments include method, systems, and computer program products for felling a tree. The method includes scanning, using a processor, a tree and an environment within a predetermined radius around the tree. The processor calculates an approximate center of gravity (CoG) for the tree in response to the scanning of the tree. The processor further receives a desired tree fall direction. The processor further provides attachment locations on the tree for attaching one or more tree felling assistance devices. The processor further instructs each of the one or more tree felling assistance devices to apply a first force to the tree in which the first force applied by each of the one or more tree felling assistance devices in conjunction with one or more cuts applied to the tree, fells the tree.

Feed wheel arrangement, timber working head, crane, and timber working machine
This invention concerns a feed wheel arrangement intended to be used in a timber working head for at least one of felling, trimming, bark-peeling and cutting of a tree or tree trunk, comprising a frame to which feed wheels and grip fittings are mounted either fixed or in a manner that allows them to be removed. The feed wheel arrangement comprises a feed wheel with a power transfer arrangement lowered centrally in a jacket of the feed wheel, a motor arranged at a distance from the feed wheel, and a power transfer arrangement for the transfer of rotational force from the motor to the feed wheel, for the feed of the tree or trunk through the timber working head. The invention concerns also a timber working head, a crane and a timber working machine.

Grapple mounted rope controller and rope anchor rigging device
A grapple mounted rope controller and rope anchor rigging device includes a cylindrical barrel friction surface mounted to a jaw of a grapple to control a rope used in an arborist's rigging procedure. A rope attached to a load is wrapped around the rope controller to control the raising and lowering of loads. The device also includes a cylindrical barrel friction surface mounted to a fork of a grapple that has a cleat permanently affixed to hold fast a load-bearing rope for a time. The rigging tool utilizes the mobility and mass of a skid steer to provide a flexible location for rigging and a fixed mass with which to support rigging of heavy objects such as tree limbs, trunks and other weights.
FEED ROLLER
A feed roller, comprising a round plate-type flange body, and radial ribs fixed at an even spacing over its outer circumference with gripping members for providing a firm grip of the surface of a tree stem being handled by the feed roller. Further, the outer edge of the plate-type ribs is disposed at an oblique angle to the axis of the feed roller, and the outer edge of each rib comprises several gripping members having a straight blade edge, arranged such that the blade edges extend parallel to the axis of the feed roller.
GRABBING DEVICE
A grabbing device having a plurality of jaws which can be moved between an open position and a closed position to enable the device to grasp an object(s). The technology finds particular application in the forestry industry and moving logs.

DETERMINING LOGGING MACHINE PRODUCT YIELD
There is provided maintaining, at a network service operatively connected to a logging machine, master forest resource information, wherein the master forest resource information comprises prediction cells for product yield over a work area or a set of work areas, receiving, at the network service from the logging machine, logging machine measurements associated with the work area or the set of work areas, associating, at the network service, the received logging machine measurements to at least one prediction cell of the master forest resource information, determining, at the network service, based on the received logging machine measurements, a logging machine product yield for the work area or the set of work areas, modeling, at the network service, a difference between the logging machine product yield and a product yield of the at least one prediction cell, and compensating, at the network service, product yields of prediction cells based on the modeled difference.
