The transfer case also includes an input member and an electric machine. The input member is rotatably coupled to the electric machine and the input shaft to provide rotational torque from the electric machine, to the input shaft, and to the primary output shaft.

A system for producing an active short circuit in an electric motor of a hybrid electric vehicle having a traction battery includes an inverter to be provided in communication with the motor and battery, and an inverter controller to generate driver signals to operate inverter switches to produce three-phase AC for the motor or to produce DC for battery charging. In response to motor speed exceeding a threshold, the controller is configured to generate driver signals to operate the inverter switches to produce an active short circuit in the motor to prevent battery overcharging. A processor and electric circuit are each configured to independently generate an active short circuit control signal operative to effectuate generation of the driver signals, the active short circuit produced based on an active short circuit control signal from the electric circuit in an absence of an active short circuit control signal from the processor.

TEMPERATURE REGULATION OF AN INDUCTOR ASSEMBLY

A vehicle is provided with a transmission having an inductor assembly. The inductor assembly is mounted within the transmission such that it is directly cooled by transmission fluid through at least one of spraying, splashing and immersion. The transmission includes at least one gear that is configured to, when rotating, transmit torque between an input and output of the transmission and splash fluid onto the inductor assembly to cool the inductor assembly.

TEMPERATURE REGULATION OF AN INDUCTOR ASSEMBLY

A vehicle is provided with a transmission having an inductor assembly. The inductor assembly is mounted within the transmission such that it is directly cooled by transmission fluid through at least one of spraying, splashing and immersion. The driving device includes a driving unit that accommodates therein a motor, a gearbox, and a differential device. The driving unit is supported by a first support part with respect to a ladder frame. Drive shafts coupled to the differential device are accommodated in hollow members. The hollow members are elastically supported by a second support part with respect to the ladder frame.

Further, a heating heat exchanger (32) is provided in the halfway of the engine cooling pipe line (23) and in the halfway of the electricity storage device cooling pipe line (28) for performing heat exchange between the engine cooling water and the electricity storage device cooling water.
