Apparatus and method for the monitoring of caged birds
A health monitoring system for caged birds is described. An enclosure containing sensors and associated circuitry mounts to the outside of a bird cage with a perch protruding into the cage.
The sensors included in the present embodiment are a strain gauge load cell for bird weight measuring, a temperature sensor, and an ambient light sensor. The load cell is used with a perch such that the bird's weight can be measured whenever they alight upon the perch. Also included is a piezoelectric sensor to measure vibration data from the cage itself, which is used as a proxy for the bird's activity level. Associated circuitry and software processes and transmits this data to an internet-hosted server. The user can access this information to track a caged bird's weight, activity level, and environmental conditions over time.

Bird feeder perch extension
A perch extension for a bird feeder having an elongated perch body that defines a mounting cavity that is adapted to fit at least partially over a perch on a bird feeder. The perch extension may optionally have a support member that is coupled to the perch body, and is further adapted to fit at least partially around the seed container of the bird feeder. The perch extension may optionally define protuberances to provide a snap-fit or press-fit engagement with the bird feeder perch.

Portable Chicken Roost and Method
A portable chicken roost has a number of detachable legs. The detachable legs connect to a number of attachment points on a roosting bar. An electrical heater is inside the roosting bar and electrically connected to an interior thermostat inside the roosting bar. An exterior thermostat is also attached to the electrical heater and located outside the roosting bar. The interior thermostat and the exterior thermostat are connected in series electrically, and the temperature setting of the exterior thermostat is different than the interior thermostat. This roosting bar protects chicken's feet from freezing and breaks down for easy shipping and transporting.

Method of fabricating a wooden perch
A method of fabricating a wooden perch which is affordable, has a reduced chance of infection or infestation, and provides increased comfort for animals. The method of fabricating a wooden perch generally includes the steps of providing a piece of wood and using a wood crafting assembly to create natural, randomized contours along the exterior of the piece of wood to complete the wooden perch. The piece of wood is rotated along its length across a wood crafting assembly in two opposite directions to create an interwoven sine-wave pattern along its length. Random parts of the wood are then applied to the wood crafting assembly at random angles with random pressure levels to create a natural contour along the length of the perch. Mounting hardware may be included to aid in securing the perch to various surfaces, such as an indoor bird cage or an outdoor bird feeder.
Automatic bird cage
The automatic bird cage is a bird housing provided with at least two containers that the user can control wirelessly via a mobile application, and the user will also control a wiper placed at the ground of the cage for cleaning. The system is also supported with a camera that displays the bird actions inside the cage, and to monitor the food level.

Two-in-one finch bird feeder
A bird feeder is provided having a seed reservoir with a side wall that has at least one seed access opening and an adjustable feed port assembly. The feed port assembly includes a base mounted to the side wall in a fixed relationship thereto and having a central opening in communication with the seed in the reservoir. Fitted to the base is a rotatable insert having a perch coupled thereto in fixed relationship so that the perch and insert rotate as a unit. The insert is rotatable between two positions, an upright position in which the perch is below the base central opening enabling birds to feed while standing on the perch, and an upside down position in which the perch is above the base central opening, requiring birds to hang upside down from the perch to feed.
