VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT
A vehicle interior component configured to provide a user interface for vehicle systems is disclosed. The component may comprise a composite structure comprising a cover to facilitate transmission of light (e.g. light-transmissive material), a sensor to detect input at or adjacent to the cover, a light panel/display to provide illumination through the cover, a functional layer and a positioning layer. The display may provide illumination through the cover. The user interface may be configured for input at the cover detected by the sensor and/or output from the display presented at least partially through the cover. The composite structure may comprise a substrate and/or may be configured in a contoured shape. The functional layer may comprise a diffuser. The positioning layer may comprise a foam material and/or a spacer fabric. A method of operating the user interface provided by the composite structure is also disclosed.
Projection type display device and projection control method for head-up display
The projection type display device includes a projection display unit that includes light sources, a light modulation element that spatially modulates light emitted from the light sources, and a projection unit that projects light spatially modulated by the light modulation element onto a projection surface; a sight line detection unit that detects a line of sight; and a system controller that stops projection of the projection light onto the projection surface by the projection display unit in a state where the line of sight detected by the sight line detection unit is out of the projection surface and restarts the projection of the projection light onto the projection surface by the projection display unit after a first time elapses after a timing of moment when the line of sight is determined to move from an outside of the projection surface to an inside of the projection surface.
Housing for a head-up display of a motor vehicle and method for providing a housing for a head-up display
The invention relates to a housing for a head-up display of a motor vehicle, which housing has an inner wall that at least partially delimits an internal space for an imaging projection device to project a virtual image in a beam path onto a reflection surface in an internal space of the motor vehicle. The housing is characterized by at least one reflective deflection region of the internal wall to deflect the beam path of the imaging projection device. The deflection region may have a metallized or metallizing layer which is formed via the application of a metallizing, amorphous substance or material onto a surface of a base body of the inner wall, said surface facing toward the internal space. The invention furthermore relates to a corresponding head-up display, a correspondingly embodied motor vehicle, and a method to provide a housing according to the invention.
Head-up display device
A head-up display device includes a housing, a projection unit projecting light representing an image, and an optical unit leading the light projected from the projection unit to a windshield of a vehicle. The optical unit includes a magnifying optical unit attached to the housing and reflecting the light toward the windshield, a screen attached to the housing and reflecting or transmitting the light toward the magnifying optical unit, and an incident angle changing unit changing an incident angle of the light that goes incident on the screen.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY METHOD OF THE SAME
According to one embodiment, when displaying an image on a display panel, projecting an image which is displayed on the display panel, inclining the image which is projected from the display panel at a predetermined angle of bend, and reflecting the image which is projected from the display panel via a prism and guiding the image to a projection surface, a display device corrects input picture image of the prism based on characteristics contrary to the chromatic aberration characteristics of the prism.
HUD SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HUD IMAGE GENERATION
An HUD system, includes at least one first HUD device, namely an AR-HUD device, with at least one first image source for displaying a first image produced by at least one hologram in a first display section of a display region and at least one second HUD device with at least one second image source for displaying a second image produced using geometric projection optics in a second display section of the display region.
Projection type display device
Provided is a projection type display device capable of performing display of information according to a driver's desire. An HUD includes light sources; a light modulation element that spatially modulates light emitted from the light sources on the basis of projection image data; a projection unit that projects image light that is spatially modulated by the light modulation element onto a projection surface that is a part of a windshield 1 mounted in an automobile; a designation information acquisition unit that acquires designation information for designating at least one of a maximum number of pieces of content included in the projection image data, display sizes of the pieces of content, or arrangement layouts of the pieces of content on the basis of information input through an operation unit; and an image information generation unit that generates the projection image data on the basis of the designation information acquired.
Display device and interior member unit
A display device applied to an instrument panel unit includes: a projection surface provided on a surface on a vehicle interior side of an interior member provided on the vehicle interior side of a vehicle and on a front side in a vehicle front-back direction, the interior member extending along a vehicle width direction; a projector including a projection unit configured to project an image; and a holding unit configured to hold the projector by the interior member in a positional relationship where at least a part of the projection unit is located on the projection surface side of the interior member, and the image from the projection unit is projected onto the projection surface.
Multi-layer display system for vehicle dash or the like
A multi-layer display system may include three, four, or more display panels/screens arranged in an overlapping manner, a backlight configured to provide light to the plurality of display screens, and a processing system. The processing system may be configured to display, on a first display screen of the plurality of display screens, a first image including a first gradient area, display, on a second display screen of the plurality of display screens, a second image including a second gradient area, and display, on a third display screen arranged in an overlapping manner between the first display screen and the second display screen, a third image including. The third image may include a third gradient area overlapping at least a portion of the first gradient area displayed on the first display screen and at least a portion of the second gradient area displayed on the second display screen.
Heads-up display device
The present invention implements a more compact head-up display device and improves mountability on a vehicle. A first mirror causes first display light generating an upper end of a virtual image display plane to intersect with second display light generating a lower end of the virtual image display plane between the first mirror and a second mirror. The first mirror is formed such that the width of a first reflection area for reflecting the first display light is shorter than the width of a second reflection area for reflecting the second display light. The second mirror is formed such that the width of a third reflection area for reflecting the first display light is shorter than the width of a fourth reflection area for reflecting the second display light.
