USER INTERFACE AND METHODS FOR INPUTTING AND OUTPUTTING INFORMATION IN A VEHICLE
A user interface and method for inputting and outputting information in a vehicle provides a user interface with a three-dimensional operating element. A laser projection unit generates at least one virtual three-dimensional operating element. A means for gesture recognition as a means for detection of an input are arranged in the interior of a vehicle. At least one virtual three-dimensional operating element is projected in the visual range of a driver by means of a laser projection arrangement. A gesture of the driver is detected by a gesture recognition means. A position of a hand of the driver is detected by means of the gesture recognition that coincides with an area of the virtual operating element. A signal for controlling a vehicle system or a function of a vehicle system is generated by the central control and evaluation unit and is output to the corresponding vehicle system.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a display unit for displaying a moving body speed being a speed of a moving body, a first speed that is arbitrarily settable by a driver, and a second speed that is not arbitrarily settable by the driver. The display unit includes a display having a drawing function, and a frame member disposed to overlap the display. The display includes a display area spanning an inner side and an outer side of the frame member. The display displays the moving body speed and the first speed on the inner side of the frame member, and displays the second speed on the outer side of the frame member.
HEAD UP DISPLAY COMBINER WITH DIMMABLE CONTROL
A head up display may include a combiner having a semi-transparent mirror to reflect light projected by a head up display light source. A dimmable element may be disposed adjacent to the combiner and opposite the semi-transparent mirror. The dimmable element may be configured to reduce the transmission of light reflected by the combiner through the dimmable element. The dimmable element may include a control system configured to reduce the transmission of light reflected by the combiner according to a plurality of light transmission reduction steps and may include a feedback control system configured to adjust the transmission of light through the dimmable element based on at least a light sensor and a light source measuring light transmission through the dimmable element.
Display device and display method of the same
According to one embodiment, when displaying an image on a display panel, projecting an image which is displayed on the display panel, inclining the image which is projected from the display panel at a predetermined angle of bend, and reflecting the image which is projected from the display panel via a prism and guiding the image to a projection surface, a display device corrects input picture image of the prism based on characteristics contrary to the chromatic aberration characteristics of the prism.
Customizable vehicle dashboard (AKA Instrument Cluster, Instrument Panel, Combination Meter) design
Designed system is a software and hardware system to be used as a vehicle dashboard. The system is connected to the vehicle to read the vehicle data. The system has a monitor to render the vehicle data. The system replaces vehicle's instrument cluster installing a monitor facing driver. The system allows user to change appearance of data on it by configuring widgets. User can define a widget data, layout, scripts and custom media using all possible data taken from the vehicle. The media could be user's custom pictures, sound recordings, video, etc. The system makes instrument cluster (aka combination meter) highly customizable. User can make their own appearance and look for the vehicle's data by selecting the vehicle data, widget, layout scripts and media to show it on vehicle instrument cluster platform.
DISPLAY DEVICE FOR HYBRID VEHICLE
A display device for displaying at least one of outputs related to traveling of a hybrid vehicle includes a first area that indicates a first output in a first mode and indicates a second output in a second mode, a second area provided side by side with the first area and that indicates a third output in the second mode, and a third area provided in a position adjacent to the second area, and that indicates a range of the first output where a possibility that the internal combustion engine starts is high. The first area has a first display portion that changes according to the first output in the first mode and the second output in the second mode. The second area has a second display portion that changes according to the third output in the second mode.
Vehicle display device
Provided is a vehicle display device that can improve visibility without providing a feeling of strangeness to a passenger. A vehicle display device includes a display unit provided in an inner side of an instrument panel and which projects a display image, a transparent cover that transmits the display image projected from the display unit toward a windshield, and a bezel body including an opening portion that allows the display image transmitted through the transparent cover to pass through and having an outer edge portion continuing into the windshield, and the degrees of brightness of respective reflected images of the instrument panel, the transparent cover, and the bezel body, the respective reflected images being reflected in the windshield, are made uniform, and therefore dark visual recognition of any of the reflected images is suppressed, and the feeling of strangeness provided to the passenger is relieved.
Head-up display device
The purpose of the present invention is to efficiently orient image light toward an observer. A display device outputs projection light for displaying an image. A transmission type screen forms an image of the projection light and diffuses the same as image light. A projection lens enlarges projection light and forms the image on the transmission type screen. A light distribution adjustment means is disposed between the transmission type screen and the projection lens and adjusts the light distribution of the image light output by the transmission type screen for each region by refracting the projection light.
DISPLAY FOR A VEHICLE INCLUDING A HOLOGRAM
A vehicle may include a display for producing a hologram. The display may include a backlight unit for showing visual content. The display may include an instrument cluster. The instrument cluster may include one or more gauges, such as one or more graphical gauges, analog gauges, or hybrid gauges. The visual content may be in addition to and separate from the hologram. The display may include an illumination frame positioned in front of the backlight unit. The illumination frame may include one or more light elements. The display may include a holographic layer positioned in front of the backlight unit. The holographic layer may include a plurality of holographic layers. The one or more light elements may be configured to emit light through the holographic layer to produce the hologram.
DRIVING SUPPORT APPARATUS AND DRIVING SUPPORT METHOD
A situation determining section 11 determines a situation of a vehicle on the basis of driving information. A support image setting section 13 sets a support image in accordance with a determination result obtained by the situation determining section 11. A display control section 14 executes display control for displaying the support image set by the support image setting section on a window glass of the vehicle in accordance with the determination result obtained by the situation determining section 11. The support image enables a leading operation for a running route, an emphasis operation for a traffic sign or the like, a visibility lowering operation for an outside-vehicle object that may cause lowering of attentiveness of the driven vehicle, and the like, and driving support can be executed with a natural sense.
