Smart external display for vehicles
There is provided a vehicle comprising a body having an exterior, an external display screen visible on the exterior of the body, a proximity sensor, a non-transitory memory storing an executable code and a vehicle information database including vehicle information, and a hardware processor executing the executable code to detect, using the proximity sensor, an individual within a proximity of the vehicle, activate the external display screen in response to detecting the individual within the proximity of the vehicle, display, on the external display screen, the vehicle information from the vehicle information database stored in the memory, in response to detecting the individual within the proximity of the vehicle.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A configuration of selecting content corresponding to the driving situation of a driver and presenting the content to the driver, thereby enabling improvement of the safe driving consciousness of the driver, can be implemented. The configuration includes a situation data acquisition unit that acquires automobile driving situation data, an output content determination unit that determines output content on the basis of the situation data, and a content output unit that outputs the output content determined by the output content determination unit. The output content determination unit determines, as the output content, content including the details of a situation that matches or that is similar to the situation data. The output content determination unit determines, as the output content, content including the details of a risk or an accident in a situation that matches or that is similar to the situation data.
DISPLAY SYSTEM
A display with local dimming backlight and an active privacy mode. The display may include a backlight source, lenses, a passive diffuser, an active diffuser and a transmissive display. The backlight source may define a two-dimensional matrix of light sources configured to generate an initial light. The lenses may be mounted adjacent to the backlight source, aligned with the light sources, and configured to generate a collimated light. The passive diffuser may be mounted adjacent to the lenses and configured to spatially spread the collimated light. The active diffuser may be mounted adjacent to the passive diffuser, configured to generate an intermediate light in response to the collimated light, and configured to change a diffusive property of the intermediate light in response to a scattering signal. The transmissive display may be mounted adjacent to the active diffuser and configured to generate multiple visible images by modulating the intermediate light.
AGENT APPARATUS, AGENT APPARATUS CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An agent apparatus includes: a first acquirer configured to acquire voice of a user; a recognizer configured to recognize the voice acquired by the first acquirer; and a plurality of agent functional units, each of the agent function unit being configured to provide services including causing an output unit to output a response on the basis of a recognition result of the recognizer, wherein, when a first agent functional unit included in the plurality of agent functional units is not able to cope with a request included in the voice recognized by the recognizer and another agent functional unit of the plurality of agent functional units is able to cope with the request, the first agent functional unit causes the output unit to output information for recommending the other agent functional unit to the user.
System and Method for Reducing Kinetosis Symptoms
A system reduces motion sickness symptoms for occupants of a vehicle. The system has a control unit which is coupled to a sensor system and/or a navigation system, a vehicle seat system, and/or a display unit for receiving and/or outputting signals. The control unit is designed to generate seat adjustment signals and/or display signals depending on received surroundings data and/or vehicle component data.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
Permissible level information indicating the highest permissible level of driving assistance control for each of sections on a target route is stored in a storage device. In a first section of the target route, the highest permissible level is a first level. In a second section that follows the first section, the highest permissible level is a second level higher than the first level. In a third section that follows the second section, the highest permissible level is a third level different from the second level. In a case where the length of the second section or a passage time taken for a vehicle to pass through the second section is smaller than a threshold value, the processor performs a level maintenance process of maintaining the selection level in the second section at a level equal to the selection level in the first section.
IN-VEHICLE APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PRESENTATION METHOD
An in-vehicle apparatus mounted in a vehicle includes: an assistance processing unit that executes assistance processing for providing a user with specified information; and a display control unit that performs control to display a list according to a sequential order of the assistance processing executed by the assistance processing unit.
IN-VEHICLE INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, IN-VEHICLE INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An in-vehicle information processing device according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a control unit. The control unit detects presence or absence of an abnormality of a first monitor that displays a first image captured by a first camera among a plurality of cameras that capture an image of a predetermined region including a rear side of a vehicle, and switches, when detecting the abnormality of the first monitor, from a first mode in which the first image is displayed on the first monitor to a second mode in which the first image is displayed on a second monitor different from the first monitor.
MULTI-FUNCTION ENGINE CONTROL AND INPUT SYSTEM
An engine control and input system for a device having a tool driven by an engine, includes an input and control module having one or more inputs and a controller responsive to actuation of the inputs to permit user control of at least one engine operating parameter by user actuation of the inputs. The system may include a touch screen display that displays icons to the user relating to the inputs and the at least one engine operating parameter, and wherein the touch screen display is responsive to the user selecting one of the inputs by touching an associated one of the icons provided by the display. At least one of the inputs may relate to one or more of changing engine speed, starting the engine, causing the engine to drive the tool, turning on a light, actuating a heater or warmer or stopping engine operation.
TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND RELATED APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
The present invention discloses a tire pressure sensor identification method, a related apparatus and system. A tire pressure sensor identification apparatus in the present invention includes a storage module configured to store identity information of a tire pressure sensor, a communications module configured to communicate with an electronic control unit (ECU) of a vehicle, a processing module and a radio frequency transmission module configured to output identity information. The tire pressure sensor identification apparatus may output the stored identity information to a corresponding vehicle, so that the vehicle can still identify the tire pressure sensor even if the tire pressure sensor is not in an activated state. It is convenient for a user to perform a uniform identification operation after uniformly collecting the identity information, thereby improving identification efficiency of the tire pressure sensor. A tire pressure sensor identification system and a corresponding tire pressure sensor identification method adopting the tire pressure sensor identification apparatus also have a same technical effect.
