VEHICLE DISPLAY SYSTEM, VEHICLE DISPLAY METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A vehicle display system, by executing a computer-readable program, being configured to: display multiple image contents in separate display areas of a display device arranged in a vehicle; detect a visual field range of an occupant of the vehicle; determine whether a frame rate of a certain image content displayed in the visual field range satisfies a lowest reference, the certain image content being one of the multiple image contents; and in response to determining that the frame rate of the certain image content does not satisfy the lowest reference, reduce a processing load of a different process while maintaining a display process of the certain image content in the visual field range of the occupant.
DRIVE ASSIST APPARATUS AND DRIVE ASSIST METHOD
Provided is a drive assist apparatus visually notifying a driver of information regarding a gradient of a road. A drive assist apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is to acquire gradient information of a road in which gradient illusion is estimated to occur in a driver of a vehicle. The processing circuitry is to perform control on an irradiation apparatus provided to the vehicle so that the irradiation apparatus projects a gradient recognition pattern on a target object or on a projection surface provided in front of a driver seat of the vehicle to display the gradient recognition pattern in overlapped fashion with the target object. The target object is located in front of the vehicle and extends along the road. The gradient recognition pattern includes at least one graphic based on the gradient information of the road and disposed along the extension direction of the target object.
INTUITIVE TWO-DIMENSIONAL WARNING INDICATOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods of an intuitive two-dimensional warning indicator are provided. Various embodiments include a warning indicator for mounting on an instrument panel of a vehicle. The warning indicator may include a plurality of illumination bars defining a polygonal shape representing a two-dimensional layout of the vehicle's surroundings. The warning indicator may be configured to illuminate at least one illumination bar of the plurality of illumination bars based on a warning issued by a vehicle system of the vehicle. The driver may be able to see the warning indicator in his/her peripheral vision while looking forward while driving. Associated vehicles including the warning indicator are provided. Associated methods are also provided.
DISPLAY SYSTEM AND DISPLAY METHOD
A display system includes a processor that acquires a current location of an own vehicle, generates a virtual environment image showing a surrounding environment of the own vehicle based on a current location of the own vehicle and map information, extracts a participant video image, the participant video image being a video image portion of a traffic participant from the real environment video image, determines the presence of an intention to turn of a driver of the own vehicle, and generates and displays on a display device a composite image by inlaying the participant video image into the virtual environment image at a corresponding position.
COMPENSATING MISMATCH IN ABNORMAL DRIVING BEHAVIOR DETECTION
Compensation can be made for mismatch in abnormal driving behavior detection between an ego vehicle and its human driver. Sensor data of a surrounding driving environment can be acquired. The acquired sensor data can be analyzed to detect abnormal driving behavior by a vehicle in the surrounding driving environment. Responsive to detecting abnormal driving behavior by the vehicle in the surrounding driving environment, the abnormal driving behavior can be classified as to whether it is severe. If the abnormal driving behavior is classified as not being severe, an amplified version of the abnormal driving behavior can be caused to be presented to the human driver of the ego vehicle.
AUGMENTED-REALITY MAP ASSISTANCE TO IMPROVE DRIVER VISIBILITY
A method includes monitoring environmental conditions surrounding a moving vehicle, using an on-board sensor of the moving vehicle, detecting that at least one of the environmental conditions surrounding the moving vehicle is likely to impair visibility for a driver of the moving vehicle, based on an output of the on-board sensor, acquiring static map data for a location surrounding the moving vehicle, acquiring real time sensor data for the location surrounding the moving vehicle, where the real time sensor data comprises outputs of a plurality of on-board sensors of a plurality of other vehicles, generating an augmented reality view of the location surrounding the moving vehicle, using the static map data, the real time sensor data, and the output of the on-board sensor, and displaying the augmented reality view of the location surrounding the moving vehicle on a display within the moving vehicle.
Display device for vehicle
A display device for a vehicle includes a flexible display configured to be mounted in the vehicle. The display device is configured to extend and retract the flexible display to thereby change a size of a screen area of the flexible display. The display device may include a sensor configured to detect the size of the screen area, and a controller configured to, based on the size of the screen area, control a display state of information output through the flexible display.
Generating a display of an augmented reality head-up display for a motor vehicle
The present invention relates to a method, a computer program with instructions, and a device for generating a display of an augmented reality head-up display for a motor vehicle. In a first step, a position of the motor vehicle is determined. A plurality of virtual elements for a navigation hint is then provided on the basis of the position of the motor vehicle. The virtual elements, as seen from the motor vehicle, extend on both sides in a lateral direction to outside a field of view of the augmented reality head-up display. Finally, at least that virtual element which has the shortest distance to a center of the field of view is rendered.
Map display device and map display method
An object of the present invention is to display a list of traffic information of a plurality of lanes. A map display device of the present invention includes a traffic information acquisition unit that acquires traffic information for a road including a plurality of lanes for each lane, and a display control unit that creates a road map image that represents a road for each lane using map data having lane link data, and causes a display device mounted on a vehicle to display thereof, in which the display control unit superimposes the traffic information on the corresponding lane in the road map image.
HMI control device, HMI control program product, driving control device, and driving control program product
An HMI control device is configured to control an HMI device mounted in a vehicle, which is capable of performing an autonomous driving as a first task. The HMI control device is configured to: acquire a possible duration for the autonomous driving; and present, by the HMI device, a second task that an occupant on a driver's seat is able to start executing during the autonomous driving based on the possible duration acquired by the time acquisition unit.
