Method and Driver Assistance System for Assisting a Driver in Driving Along a Proximity Region of a Trajectory
A driver assistance system assists a driver of a motor vehicle in driving along a trajectory by displaying the trajectory on a display unit. It is identified that the vehicle is approaching a proximity region of the trajectory starting from an actual position on the basis of the fact that a plurality of different segments of the trajectory intersect, are superimposed and/or approach one another. At least one relevant segment which is relevant for the journey starting from the actual position of the vehicle is determined from the plurality of segments. The relevant segment in the display trajectory is highlighted on the display unit relative to one or more other segments of the plurality of segments.
Vehicle component, vehicle and method for communication between a vehicle and a user
A vehicle component includes a display element and/or operating element integrated into a vehicle component surface. The display element and/or operating element has a light source, a base support, a mask and a surface layer. The surface layer is made of a material that becomes transparent when activated.
Display device
A display device includes a first display segment having an at least partly transparent cover element that has a main plane of extent and a front side and a rear side, and a second display segment having at least one display unit arranged on the rear side of the partly transparent cover element. The partly transparent cover element has a higher transparency in the region of the display unit than in at least one other region. The partly transparent cover element has a transitional region between the region of low transparency and the region of higher transparency. The transitional region has an extent parallel to the main plane of extent of the cover element.
DISPLAY DEVICE EMPLOYING A VIRTUAL PLANE OVERLAYING MECHANICAL INDICIA
Display device is disclosed herein, and may be implementable in a variety of contexts, including a motor vehicle (for example, the instrument cluster). A semi-transparent plane is essentially placed in between a display and a mechanical element member. This allows a virtual projection of information over the mechanical plane in an on-state, while the mechanical element shows non-indicia during the off state.
SURFACE DISPLAY UNITS WITH OPAQUE SCREEN
A surface display unit incorporates an opaque screen (180) and an image panel (110). The opaque screen is disposed on the front side of the image panel which provides an optical image. The opaque screen generally hides the image panel while the surface display unit is not in use. When the image panel is activated to provide an optical image, the opaque screen provides a suitable level of transparency so that a viewer can observe the optical image with sufficient clarity. The opaque screen can provide optical enhancement, decorative texture, and/or mechanical support and include antiglare, anti-reflective, and anti-scratch films (140, 150, 160). The opque screen can be a laminated polymer film, an electrochromic or photochromic system, or a switchable dye doped liquid crystal material.
System and method for adjusting the light intensity of an analog needle
A system and method for adjusting the intensity of light provided to an analog needle are disclosed herein. The system and method adjust the intensity of light provided to the analog needle based on an operating state of an engine of a vehicle.
DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING A COVER BODY FORMING A PLURALITY OF DISPLAY AREAS TO BE BACKLIT AND MEETING DIFFERENT OPTICAL REQUIREMENTS, ASSOCIATED USE AND ASSOCIATED PRODUCTION METHOD
The invention relates to a display device (1) comprising: a cover body (2) which forms a surface (O) facing an observer and a back face (R) facing away from the observer, with the cover body (2) being formed by at least two, integrally bonded, translucent to transparent cover body components (2a, 2b) which each form a portion of the surface (O) and each form a portion of the back face (R) under the formation of a common interface (G) that extends between the surface (O) and the back face (R) and with the two cover body components (2a, 2b) differing in terms of their light transmittance; at least one opaque masking layer (10) which is applied to the surface (O) facing the observer and which, in the portion of the surface (O) formed by the less light transmissive cover body component (2a), delimits a first display area (S1) to be backlit and which, in the portion of the surface (O) formed by the more light transmissive cover body component (2b), delimits a second display area (S2) to be backlit; a support (3) having a plurality of light sources (5) arranged on the side of the cover body (2) facing away from the observer and serving to backlight the first display area (S1) or second display area (S2); a frame (4) made of an opaque material, integrally bonded to the cover body (2) and serving to secure the cover body (2) on the support (3) via the frame (4), with the frame (4) extending at least in part along the interface (G) in order to form a light barrier (4a) between the first display area (S1) and the second display area (S2).
Display device and manufacturing method
A display device for vehicle interiors includes a screen having an active front screen surface comprising a main area and a marginal area, and a decorative layer covering the marginal area and not covering the main area. The decorative layer is configured such that in a non-switched-on state of the screen in the marginal area, the marginal area is not visible through the decorative layer In a switched-on state of the marginal area, light emitted from the marginal area is visible through the decorative layer. Furthermore, a method of manufacturing such a display device is provided.
INTERIOR LIGHTING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a device for controlling interior lighting of a motor vehicle interior including at least one light source, a projection support and a control module. The control module is capable of configuring the projection support so that it can receive at least one image emitted by the light source. The invention also relates to a method for lighting at least a part of an interior space of a motor vehicle by such an interior lighting device.
Vehicle display device
A vehicle display device includes an indicator that luminously displays a display image on its screen by lighting and stops the luminous display of the display image by extinction, and a display panel that includes a light shielding part on a rear surface of the display panel. The light shielding part light-shields a surrounding part of a transmitting window, through which an image light of the display image is transmitted to be capable of being visually recognized from a front side. A transmission region of a front surface of the display panel that is located at least on the front side of the transmitting window is occupied by a planar part that is formed in a flat surface shape along the screen, and a plurality of projecting surface parts that project from the planar part into a curved projecting surface shape. An area occupancy of the planar part at the transmission region is adjusted to be equal to or larger than an area occupancy of all the plurality of projecting surface parts at the transmission region.
