Optical scanning device, image display device, heads-up display, and mobile object
An optical scanning device, an image display device, a heads-up display, and a mobile object. The optical scanning device includes a light source configured to emit scanning light, a light quantity adjuster provided with a plurality of optical attenuators having different light transmittances, the light quantity adjuster configured to change a light-intensity of the scanning light by switching one of the plurality of optical attenuators placed on an optical path, by movement of the light quantity adjuster, to scan a to-be-scanned surface using the scanning light passed through the light quantity adjuster, and a home position sensor configured to detect that the light quantity adjuster is present at a predetermined position. The light source starts emitting the scanning light after one of the plurality of optical attenuators is placed on the optical path at a time of startup.
Projection display device
A projection display device includes a light source module, a switch unit, and micro-scanning mirrors. The light source module provides a light beam. The switch unit receives the light beam and switches a transmission direction of the light beam to the corresponding one of the micro-scanning mirrors during each of periods. The micro-scanning mirrors cause the light beam to scan over projection surfaces to form images. The projection display device can project the images on the projection surfaces without image brightness loss.
HEADREST AND HEADREST SYSTEM
The invention relates inter alia to a headrest (12) for a vehicle seat (11) comprising a head contact part (21) that can be supported on the vehicle seat (11) by a mount or that is formed integrally with a part of the vehicle seat (11), the head contact part (21) has at least one projection system (26) that has at least one projector (19a, 19b) that can be connected to a power supply of the vehicle, and that can project a beam, such as light information, onto a projection surface (22, 24).
Head-up display device
The present invention improves slidability between a moving part and a support member that supports the moving part. A head-up display device includes: a display that emits display light; a moving part on which a first sliding surface is formed; and a support member on which a second sliding surface that comes into contact with the first sliding surface is formed. The support member movably supports the moving part. The head-up display device displays vehicle information as virtual images from the display light. Linear protrusions and recesses are formed on the first sliding surface and/or the second sliding surface following the trajectory along which the moving part moves.
Head-up display device
A vehicle head-up display includes a liquid crystal panel, a light source, a first polarizing panel, and a second polarizing panel. The liquid crystal panel has opposing input and output surfaces. The liquid crystal panel is configured to form an image oriented relative to a horizontal axis. The light source is configured to direct light toward the input surface, through the liquid crystal panel, and out of the output surface to project the image onto an interior surface of a vehicle windshield. The first polarizing panel is secured to the output surface and has a first polarization axis oriented at a first angle relative to the horizontal axis. The second polarizing panel is disposed between the first polarizing panel and the windshield. The second polarizing panel has a second polarization axis oriented oriented at a second angle relative to the horizontal axis.
VEHICULAR DISPLAY SYSTEM WITH USER INPUT DISPLAY
A vehicular display system includes a camera that is disposed in a vehicle and that views a hand of a driver of the vehicle. A heads up display system establishes a heads up display viewable by the driver and derived at least in part from image data captured by the camera. The heads up display includes (i) information representative of user actuatable inputs for controlling at least one accessory of the vehicle and (ii) images representative of at least a part of the driver's hand. The images representative of at least a part of the driver's hand are derived at least in part from image data captured by the camera. The images representative of at least a part of the driver's hand are partially transparent so the information representative of the user actuatable inputs are viewable through the images representative of at least a part of the driver's hand.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM OF A TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE
A method for operating a driver assistance system of the transportation vehicle to assist a driver while the transportation vehicle is travelling. A virtual transportation vehicle is displayed to the driver of the transportation vehicle on at least one display element wherein the virtual transportation vehicle is varied in respect of its size and/or position and/or its appearance on the display element while the virtual transportation vehicle is displayed on the display element. A transportation vehicle having a driver assistance system.
Display device, display method and display medium
To provide a display device that can suppress generation of a double image. Display device includes plate-shape windshield having translucency and a projection unit that projects light expressing an image onto windshield such that the light is reflected toward a user by windshield. The projection unit changes a display distance between an eye of the user and a position of an image visually recognized as a virtual image by the user through windshield by the light projection. Windshield is formed such that a wedge angle that is of an angle formed between a front side and a back side at a region located at any level of windshield is continuously decreased with increasing level.
Device for displaying information in motor vehicles
An instrument panel for motor vehicles includes an information device which is configured to display information visible at various locations on the instrument panel for the driver of the motor vehicle. The information device is made up of a plurality of mechanical information elements which are movable independently of one another and are distributed over the instrument panel. The information elements are movable on a surface of the instrument panel and are arranged in such a way that in a first position the information elements project beyond the surface of the instrument panel and in a second position the information elements terminate substantially flush with the surface of the instrument panel.
Vehicular display system
A vehicular display system is provided that is capable of achieving both display performance of images or videos and viewability as a window in a non-display mode. The vehicular display system includes: a window that is a transparent plate mounted on a vehicle; a liquid crystal unit that is arranged on the inner surface, in the inside/outside direction of the vehicle, of the window and has changeable levels of transparency; a projector that projects images or videos onto the liquid crystal unit; and a control unit that controls the liquid crystal unit and the projector, wherein the control unit controls the projector in a state of the liquid crystal unit being translucent, to cause the projector to project images or videos onto the liquid crystal unit.
