OPERATING APPARATUS HAVING AN OPERATING KNOB
An operating knob for an operating apparatus extends away from a reference plane that delimits the operating knob on a rear side. The operating knob is in the form of a three-dimensionally protruding body in relation to the reference plane up to a knob height. The operating knob has at least one side wall extending between the reference plane and the knob height at an angle greater than 20 with respect to the reference plane as a placement surface for at least one finger operating the operating knob. Luminous outputs of at least one luminous segment or a pixel matrix are provided on the side wall.
OPTICAL IMAGING SYSTEM
An optical imaging system (100) including an elongated lightguide (105) having pluralities of first and second light extractors (110) forming respective first and second patterns along the length of the lightguide is described. Light extracted by the first light extractors exit the lightguide primarily along a first direction toward a target location (150), and light extracted by the second light extractors exit the lightguide primarily along a second direction different from the first direction. The optical imaging system includes a first reflector (114) for receiving light exiting the lightguide primarily along the second direction and reflecting the received light toward the target location. The first reflector forms a first virtual image (132) of the second pattern behind the first reflector. The first pattern and the first virtual image are visible to a viewer (152) viewing the optical imaging system from the target location.
Light guide with chaplet tick marks
A gauge assembly includes a gauge surface including at least one graphic, which may be a plurality of graphics defining a scale in a generally circular pattern on the gauge surface. The gauge surface has a viewable side. A light guide has a main body portion disposed adjacent to the gauge surface and corresponding to the shape of the gauge surface. The light guide has a plurality of raised tick marks extending from the main body portion. Each tick mark is viewable via a viewing side of the gauge surface. The light guide includes ends that curve away from the gauge surface to receive light. The light guide is configured to provide illumination to the illuminable graphic(s) and the plurality of tick marks.
VEHICULAR DISPLAY DEVICE AND ROOF MODULE
A vehicular display device according to an embodiment includes a light shielding housing fixed to a surface of a roof of a vehicle on a cabin side and having a concave portion concave upward, an opening portion formed at a position facing a rear of the vehicle in the concave portion, and a display device having a display surface disposed in the opening portion with the display surface directed to the rear of the vehicle.
Automotive window with transparent light guide display
A window for a motor vehicle includes an inner glass pane, an outer glass pane, and a first display module having a first light source, a first light guide disposed between the inner glass pane and the outer glass pane and configured to receive light from the first light source, a second light source, and a second light guide disposed between the inner glass pane and the outer glass pane and configured to receive light from the second light source. When the first light source is activated a first signal is displayed through the first light guide, when the second light source is activated a second signal is displayed through the second light guide, and when the first light source and the second light source are activated a third signal is displayed through the first light guide and the second light guide.
Steering wheel
A steering wheel includes a gripping portion that is gripped by a driver when a conveyance is steered, a light source that is disposed inside the gripping portion and is configured to emit light, a light guide body that is disposed inside the gripping portion such that an end portion of the light guide body faces the light source, the light guide body including an emission surface that is configured to emit light from the light source and incident on the end portion and that is formed on a surface on a driver side, and a covering portion that surrounds the light guide body and forms an outer layer portion of at least a part of the gripping portion around the light guide body. The covering portion is formed with a hole, through which light emitted from the emission surface passes.
DISPLAY SYSTEM
At least one display device, at least one light-guide structure module, and a cover plate are included in a display system. The at least one light-guide structure module is located between the at least one display device and the cover plate. The at least one display device includes a display panel for displaying a display content. The display panel is surrounded by a visible frame delimited by an inner edge and an outer edge. At least one portion of the outer edge of the visible frame defines at least one line on the cover plate by a parallel projection along an axis oriented perpendicularly to the cover plate. The at least one light-guide structure module enlarges the display content of the at least one display device and projects a portion of the inner edge of the visible frame onto the at least one line of the cover plate.
Illuminated control panel capacitive sensor having rigid and flexible portions
A motor vehicle control panel includes a front face including a control zone; a printed circuit board; at least one electrically conductive capacitive detection element extending along a vertical axis from the rear surface of the front face to an electrical contact zone of the printed circuit board; a light source mounted on the printed circuit board and able to produce a back lighting light beam toward the control zone through the capacitive detection element; the capacitive detection element also comprises at least one rigid tubular part forming a light guide for the light beam and at least one elastic part made in one piece with the rigid tubular part so as to compensate the clearances between the rear surface and the detection element and between the printed circuit board and the detection element.
Reflector-based illumination for a glow casting border
A border assembly includes a semi-tubular reflector segment and a semi-tubular diffuser segment in front of the reflector segment. The reflector segment includes an inner sidewall and an outer sidewall, and a cavity therebetween. The cavity includes a backspace midway along the reflector segment and a front exit spaced therefrom. The reflector segment is configured, in relation to light emanated from the backspace, to discharge light originating from the emanated light through the front exit all along the reflector segment with a regular intensity, with the discharged light including reflections of the emanated light off the outer sidewall. The diffuser segment includes a back face positioned over the front exit and a front face spaced therefrom. The diffuser segment is configured to diffusively transmit the discharged light, resulting in the front face casting a glow.
