At least one electronic display has first and second mirrors separated by a distance. The two mirrors are arranged such that they at least partially overlap in a projection view of both mirrors. An intermediate space is formed in the overlap region between the mirrors. The at least one electronic display is part of a display apparatus having at least one light source emitting light into the intermediate space that is reflectable multiple times by the mirrors to generate an infinity mirror effect, resulting in the generation of an image having a light pattern that appears with an optical depth effect in an image plane of the display apparatus.

COMMUNICATION LIGHT DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR, AND MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING A COMMUNICATION LIGHT DEVICE
20240198900 · 2024-06-20 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a communication light device for a vehicle interior, having a housing, wherein light sources are arranged in a row on a housing base, wherein the light sources are configured to generate a time-controllable light signal, wherein a side wall of the housing has a light exit opening which extends across the side wall in the direction of the row of light sources and which points towards the vehicle interior when the communication light device is in an intended installation position, and wherein internal walls of the housing have a diffusely reflecting surface.

Programmable lighting methods and systems for a removable peripheral bar

Innovative peripheral bar assembly for a transportation vehicle is provided. One method includes retrieving, by a processor of a seat device of an aircraft coupled to a removable, peripheral bar assembly having a plurality of programmable, light emitting diodes (LEDs), configuration information to operate the LEDs; transmitting, by the processor, one or more commands to the peripheral bar assembly to operate one or more of the LEDs; and operating, by the peripheral bar assembly, the one or more LEDs, in response to the one or more commands to indicate non-verbal communication based on one or more pre-defined communication protocols indicating a seat-by-seat status.

STEERING GRIP LIGHT BAR SYSTEMS

Various implementations include a light bar system for a steering wheel of a vehicle that includes a high intensity light source, a light diffusing layer, and an outer lens. For example, in certain implementations, the light diffusing layer is disposed between a plurality of high intensity light emitting diodes (LEDs) and an outer lens, and the light diffusing layer causes the light from the LEDs to appear as a continuous stream of light across a length of the lens and provides sufficiently bright lighting to warn or communicate with the driver in various ambient lighting conditions. In certain implementations, the outer lens is colored to blend in with the rest of the steering wheel when the LEDs are not activated.

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

A driver assistance system for a vehicle uses sensor data, which are provided from monitoring of the environment of the vehicle. The driver assistance system has a processing unit for processing the sensor data and a display device for displaying the processed sensor data. The environment of the vehicle is displayed as a light strip using the display device. Furthermore, an object in the environment of the vehicle is represented by a section on the light strip, wherein the section has a first light characteristic.

Vehicle trim element

A vehicle trim element has a panel that includes at least one colored mask having solid areas and at least one aperture delimiting a pattern, and a colored screen transmitting light and closing each aperture of the mask. The mask and the screen are substantially of the same color so that the pattern is visible when the panel is backlit and substantially invisible in the absence of backlighting.
