USER INTERFACE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING USER INTERFACE APPARATUS, AND VEHICLE
A user interface apparatus for a vehicle includes: a circuit part injection-molded body formed in an insert injection process in which first resin melt is injected while a circuit part is inserted; and a cover part injection-molded body coupled to the circuit part injection-molded body, and formed in an insert injection process in which second resin melt is injected while a cover part is inserted. The circuit part includes: a light emitting unit; a touch sensor that detects a touch input; and at least one processor that controls the light emitting unit in response to an event to generate light; activates the touch sensor in response to generation of the light; and generates a signal for controlling a vehicle device in response to a touch input. The cover part allows light generated by the light emitting unit to pass therethrough and illuminate a shape on the cover part.
Display device for a motor vehicle, having a force sensor, a motor vehicle, and a method
The invention relates to a display device (2) for a motor vehicle (1) having a mirror apparatus (13) which has a display element (7) with a semi-transparent mirror surface, and having a drive apparatus (15) by means of which the mirror apparatus (13) can be moved between a storage position and a position of use, wherein the mirror apparatus (13) has a sensor apparatus (22) which is configured to detect, in the position of use of the mirror apparatus (13), a force applied to the display element (7).
Operating device for a motor vehicle and a steering wheel having an operating device
The invention relates to an operating device (1) for a motor vehicle, with at least one operating control (3) which can be actuated by an operator (4), and with a symbol bearer (18), separate from the operating control (3), for the graphical identification of the at least one operating control (3), wherein the symbol bearer (18) for the operating element (3) has a first and at least one further graphical symbol (25) different therefrom and can be moved relative to the at least one operating control (3) between a first position in which the operating control (3) is identified with the first symbol (25a) and at least one further position in which the operating control (3) is identified with the further symbol (25b).
Information provision apparatus for vehicle
Provided is an information provision apparatus for a vehicle, the apparatus capable of providing information that fits the situation of the vehicle to a user. An information provision apparatus for a vehicle is provided with a vehicle-mounted device which comprises a report means for reporting various kinds of information including vehicle information to a user, and a control means for operating the report means, and is connected to an external device via a connection means. Upon receiving a manipulation input signal indicating that a start switch of the vehicle is turned on, the control means operates the report means in order to report to the user that a communication connection between the vehicle-mounted device and the external device is not established, until the communication connection is established.
TELL-TALE LIGHTING DESIGN OPTIMIZATION FOR INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTERS
The disclosure relates to an improved instrument panel design with reduced buzz, squeak and rattle as well as reduced light leakage to instrument panel telltales.
Display apparatus
A display apparatus includes: a dial having a first surface, a second surface and an opening; a meter; a decorative part at a peripheral part of the meter; a display at a second surface side and displaying an image; and a controller controlling an image display state. An outermost area of the display overlaps with a part of the meter. The decorative part includes: a body member having a light-transmitting property; and a surface-treated layer having a light-transmitting property and a light-reflecting property. The controller switches the state of image display in the outermost area and a non-overlapping area. The decorative part is visually recognized due to the light-reflecting property of the surface-treated layer when the image is in the non-overlapping area. The image is visually recognized in an overlapping part of the decorative part due to the light-transmitting property when the image is in the outermost area.
DISPLAY DEVICE
An attenuation portion is to illuminate first and second display objects while attenuating light. A display element causes light to enter the attenuation portion to illuminate the first display object in a display region. A light source irradiates light to illuminate the second display object in the display region. A display forming member has a light-blocking layer and an attenuation layer. The light-blocking layer has a light-transmitting portion defining a shape of the second display object. The attenuation layer covers the light-blocking layer from a display region side to attenuate light, which is from the light source and passes through the light-transmitting portion. The display forming member indicates the second display object in the display region with emission of light which is attenuated through the attenuation layer and enters the attenuation portion.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VEHICULAR LIGHT FIXTURES
A lighting device is provided for controlling the photometric distribution of light emitted by two or more LEDs. The lighting device may be integrated with a control system of the vehicle and may be controlled by a remote controller. The lighting device may be capable of being operated in one or more modes of operation based on operating conditions, user input, or both. Operating conditions may include vehicle conditions, environmental conditions, and user conditions. The controller may operate a software application to enable the user to modify, control, or otherwise regulate any mode of operation or other feature of the lighting system.
Light assembly for motor vehicle
This disclosure relates to a light assembly for a motor vehicle. In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a motor vehicle, including: a light assembly including a first section, a second section, a third section, and a fourth section, wherein the first, second, third, and fourth sections are selectively illuminable independent of one another; a conspicuity lamp; and a controller configured to command the light assembly to illuminate at least one of the first, second, third, and fourth sections in phase with the conspicuity lamp.
SELECTIVE LIGHTING FOR INDICIA
A method, system, and devices for implementing a selectively lighted instrument cluster are disclosed herein. The aspects employ a light house layer (or collection of light house layers) using a combination of light and dark materials to provide individually lit indicia on a cover layer (i.e. applique layer) of an instrument cluster. The combination of light and dark layers selectively applied prevents light leakage into other non-intended portions on the viewable surface of the instrument cluster.
