Control units of a display control device perform, in a switching period when display by one image generation unit out of a first image generation unit and a second image generation unit is terminated and display by the other image generation unit is started, a parallel control in which a display start operation is performed in parallel with a display termination operation, a conjunctive control in which an operation timing of the other image generation unit is determined with an operation timing of the one image generation unit as a starting point, and an overlapping lighting suppression control that prevents, in the switching period, an ON period of a light source unit in the one image generation unit and an ON period of a light source unit in the other image generation unit from temporally overlapping each other in at least a partial period.

Display apparatus for vehicle

A display apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed. A display apparatus for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: an organic light emitting diode (OLED) panel; a driving controller to output a driving signal; a first temperature detector in a first area of a rear surface of the OLED panel; a second temperature detector in a second area of the rear surface of the OLED panel; and a signal processing device to perform a first degradation compensation mode or a second degradation compensation mode based on a difference between a first temperature and a second temperature, wherein the signal processing device controls a luminance compensation value in the second degradation compensation mode to be greater than a luminance compensation value in the first degradation compensation mode. Accordingly, degradation may be reduced in an adaptive manner based on the temperature of each area of the panel.

Vehicle display device

A vehicle display device includes a displaying part configured to emit, as display light, display information to be viewed and recognized by an occupant in a cabin as a virtual image, a reflection member configured to reflect the display light emitted from the displaying part to project the display light on a projection target part in the cabin, and a controller configured to control the display light in accordance with a detection eye box representing a detection result of an eye box representing a range of an eye point of the occupant and allowing the virtual image to be viewed and recognized.

Display apparatus and vehicle

A display apparatus includes a display panel and a backlight for the display panel. The backlight has a reflector with a plurality of regularly shaped, reflectively embodied cavities which are arranged in a grid. The reflector also has irregularly shaped, reflectively embodied cavities in at least one peripheral region. In addition, the backlight has a plurality of light sources arranged in the cavities.

Dual view display

A computer that includes a processor and a memory, the memory including instructions executable by the processor to provide direct backlighting to a display device by generating a first image at a first viewing angle during a first time period by energizing an LED zone to a first luminance, controlling a first LCD zone to be at a first transparency and controlling a second LCD zone to be non-transparent. A second image can be generated at a second viewing angle during a second time period by energizing the LED zone to a second luminance, controlling the first LCD zone to be non-transparent and controlling the second LCD zone to a second transparency. The first luminance can be transmitted through the first LCD zone disposed over the LED zone and directed at the first viewing angle by a parallax barrier when the first LCD zone is at the first transparency and the second luminance can be transmitted through the second LCD zone disposed over the LED zone and directed at a second viewing angle by the parallax barrier when the second LCD zone is at the second transparency.

COCKPIT DISPLAY SYSTEM

A cockpit display system includes a cockpit, a first display apparatus, a first light sensor, a second light sensor and a brightness distribution calculation module. The first light sensor is suitable for detecting a first ambient light brightness. The second light sensor is suitable for detecting a second ambient light brightness. The brightness distribution calculation module is suitable for respectively calculating a first brightness and a second brightness of the first display area and the second display area of the first display apparatus under a same display gray level according to the first ambient light brightness and the second ambient light brightness. The first brightness and the second brightness are different from each other.

A head-up display includes an image generation unit emitting light for generating a predetermined image and a mirror reflecting the light so that a transmission member is irradiated with the light emitted by the image generation unit. The image generation unit includes a light source, an optical member transmitting light from the light source, and a liquid crystal portion in which an original image for forming the predetermined image is generated by the light emitted from the optical member. The original image is formed in a shape corresponding to distortion of the predetermined image. The optical member is formed in a shape matching the shape of the original image.
