MODULAR VEHICLE HMI

A physical toggle button located in a cabin of a vehicle receives input indicating a change in state of the physical toggle button from a first mode in which a plurality of functions of smart home devices are set to a first state to a second mode in which the plurality of functions of the smart home devices are set to a second state. Using a telematics control module of the vehicle, a state change request is sent indicating the change in state to a cloud service maintaining a function mapping including information for setting the plurality of functions between the first state and the second state.

DISPLAY DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

The present disclosure relates to a display device for a vehicle. A display device for a vehicle, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises: a display panel; a backlight unit including a plurality of blocks composed of light sources; a viewing angle adjustment panel including a plurality of liquid crystal layers composed of liquid crystals; and a control unit, wherein the control unit can change, on the basis of the configuration of a predetermined mode of adjusting a viewing angle, the arrangement of liquid crystals arranged in a restricted region of the viewing angle adjustment panel corresponding to a predetermined region of the display panel, and adjust, on the basis of the difference between a preset reference brightness level and the brightness level of the predetermined region according to the configuration of the predetermined mode, the intensity of light emitted from blocks corresponding to the restricted region from among the plurality of blocks. Various other embodiments are possible.

Each of a plurality of light transmission switches includes a translucent region that allows light from a light source to pass through a surface of an instrument panel into a vehicle cabin, and an opaque region that blocks passage of the light into the vehicle cabin. It is determined, for each of the light transmission switches, whether a current situation is a situation in which an occupant makes a turn-on request to turn on the light transmission switch, or whether a current vehicle state is a vehicle state that allows turning on of the light transmission switch. At least one light transmission switch selected from the light transmission switches based on a determination result is switched to an on state. This makes it possible to achieve both convenience for the occupant to perform the switch operations and good interior design of the vehicle cabin.
